Payee Renaming Rule Broken

I am having the exact same problem described in the the discussion named  “Payee Renaming Rule Broken”. That discussion is marked “closed” but I don’t see any resolution or helpful information in the thread. I’d rather not open another discussion and/or have to go thru the same steps of screenshots because my situation is exactly identical.

    Thank you for taking the time to report this to the Community, although I'm sorry to hear that you're seeing an issue with Payee Rules in Simplifi.

    If you're referring to the post here, unfortunately, no one ever followed up with all of the required information so we were unable to get the issue reported. With that being said, however, I'd be happy to report what you're seeing if you'd like to provide specific examples and details.

    First, please provide an example Payee Rule that you're attempting to create with a description of what specifically is occurring and what you expect to occur. Next, are you attempting to create the Rule from the transaction directly? If so, please provide the details of the transaction including the Date, Payee, and Amount, as well as the name of the account that the transaction resides in. 

    Finally, please attempt to create the same Rule from the Settings>Rules page (or from the transaction directly if you were originally trying to create it from Settings>Rules) to see if you're able to do so, and to take note of any differences that you see when attempting to create the Rule from both locations.

    Screenshots of all of this information and the example(s) would also be greatly helpful. Thanks in advance! :smile:
