When entering transactions, make the transaction date sticky

When I'm entering a group of transactions, for example 10 transactions from three months ago, I have to fill out the date field every time.
It would be much better if when I pick a date, that date becomes sticky for new transactions until I change it again. That way I can enter a number of transactions without having to go through the process of picking the date every time.
