Spending saved money

Still trying to wrap my head around Savings Goals and ignoring certain transactions in the Spending Plan.
I got $100 for my birthday. I don't know exactly what I want to spend it on or when. I deposited it in checking and set up a Savings Goal ("Birthday Money") and contributed $100 from my available checking balance. So, it nets out to $0 in the spending plan because the +$100 in "Personal Income" is netted by the $100 contribution to the Savings Goal.
What steps do I follow when I find something I want to spend it on? If I click "Withdraw to Spend for Goal" on that Savings Goal to "tap" the goal, do I also "ignore" the corresponding transaction, or not?

@myllanac, the way I understand it, now that you have "set aside" the bd money in a savings goal, when you spend it you can mark the transaction(s) ignore from spending plan.
It might be helpful to review this Savings Goals how-to articleDanny
