Cryptocurrency price quotes on Simplifi?

Hello,

I have noticed recently that the crypto price quotes in the app can sometimes be pretty off the actual price found on exchanges. For example at the time of this writing, Simplifi has Bitcoin at 55,127 but Coinbase has it at 57,289. Simplifi has Dogecoin at .34 whereas as the actual value on Coinbase is .23 (quite a difference). I am wondering what has changed and if his can be investigated.

    Thanks for posting back!

    Sadly, when testing this, it looks like we're also seeing an issue with the information displayed for Bitcoin, as we're not even seeing a 'Price per share' when attempting to add a manual holding in Simplifi:



    We're not sure if this is on our end or our Quote Provider's end, but we have gone ahead and escalated this to our Team so that we can research and get a fix pushed out.

    Thank you for taking the time to post to the Community regarding this!

    To clarify, is this occurring on a connected investment account(s), or with manual holdings that you've entered into Simplifi yourself? Also, how long has this been occurring, and how long have you been tracking these holdings in Simplifi? 

    I do know that there is often a delay in the information displayed in Simplifi, as holdings info is typically updated during nightly aggregation, so it may vary from current market prices throughout the day. More details on how investment data gets updated can be found here.

    Hi Natalie,

    Unfortunately my BTC accounts that sync automatically only give dollar values and not the exact amount in BTC. But when I manage manual accounts, the price that Simplifi quotes crypto to be is pretty off. I don't think it is the quote isn't updated fast enough, I think the prices are just wrong. The BTC price it is currently giving hasn't been seen in days. The Doge price I was given hasn't been that high in months. I think it may be the source of the price data Simplifi is getting is wrong. I have been tracking these in Simplifi for 6 months or so. This seems to be a new issue I have noticed... maybe a week or so?
