Re: Track Interest Rates for Accounts (edited)
It would be really helpful to be able to have a quick view of total savings rate (across retirement, cash svaings, etc.) as this is a useful metric to track over time!
Re: Track Interest Rates for Accounts (edited)
Hello @Ian S,
Thanks for posting your suggestion to the Community!
Are you looking for something along the lines of what's been requested here where it will show the Interest Rate for your Savings Accounts? Or are you looking for a feature that tracks the interest you've earned over time?
If the latter, have you checked out the Net Income Report where you can filter the Report to view just your 'Interest' Category(s)?
If you're looking for something different than what's already been requested or the suggestion I outlined above, please add more description to your request. We need to know the specific type of feature/ability you'd like to see in Simplifi and how it would look to you. Otherwise, I am looking to merge this request with the existing request I linked above for the ability to track Interest Rates.
Please let us know so we can best assist!

Re: Issue connecting two logins with Vanguard (edited)
No, it's not similar to the Vanguard problem, but it's an inability to connect to the banks. It's like they are offline. At random times you can make a connection and then a couple days later the connection breaks again. It's very messy, and sometimes the staff at Simplifi can be "researching" a solution for months. For me, it's just the uncertainty of logging in each day and holding your breath on what might be working that day. If you're just using Simplifi to track your expenses and bank accounts, you're probably ok, but add any investments into the mix and trying to track your overall net worth, it's really tenuous.
Re: Issue connecting two logins with Vanguard (edited)
Well as someone who's had to personally deal with stuff like this, I'm a lot more sympathetic to the kinds of problems you described. Connections to third-party platforms are inherently unstable through no fault of Simplifi because:
- Third-party platforms can make unannounced changes completely outside of Simplifi's control that break Simplifi's integration with them.
- Third-party platforms can impose rate limits on their side that are arbitrary and/or poorly documented.
Those kinds of problems are understandable and forgivable. This particular problem with Vanguard is clearly due to Simplifi's mishandling of OAuth credentials on their side and is completely their fault.

Re: Mortgage Payments as Transfers
How this works — transfer or expense — depends on whether you have a mortgage account set up in Simplifi representing the debt you owe on the mortgage.
Mortgage payments often include PITI (Principle, Interest, Taxes, Insurance). If you have a mortgage account in Simplifi, then the "P" portion of your mortgage payment (and any "additional principle" payment) can be treated as a transfer to that mortgage account, thus reducing the debt. The "ITI" portions are expenses.
But many people do not track their mortgage in Simplifi, so there is no debt account to be used for the transfer. In that case, you would probably just categorize the "P" portion as a mortgage expense as @Coach Natalie says.

@Coach Natalie Thanks, I will give it a try.
Re: Investment Transaction Duplications (edited)
Hello @SRC54,
Thanks for the information. We agree that this is probably a separate issue and needs to be shared in a new post when you have that information, since the issue escalated for this thread is for users changing the Action/Type on an investment transaction and the transaction re-downloading/duplicating with the original Action/Type.
