Re: Vanguard Connection problem - FDP-390 error (edited)
Having the same issue, both on desktop and mobile. Between this issue and the constant connection problems with Barclays, I'm seriously considering terminating my subscription. I'm not convinced these connections are EVER going to be reliable.
Re: Move the "delete" button to the left when deleting transactions, and make it a trash can icon
@Dick_Davis, thanks for posting your suggestion to the Community!
Since it is not clear what you're referring to, this post has been turned into a Discussion for now. With that, are you referring to deleting transactions, or some other deleting action in Quicken Simplifi? Where does the user frustration come in, and how are accidental deletes occurring? What do you mean by "and then change to the trash can icon"?

Re: Deleted recurring series keep reappearing (edited)
Hi @Coach Jon @Coach Kristina @Coach Natalie and Everyone,
Just a (final?) comment to say the deleted Recurring Series issue seems to have been fixed.
[Insert cheers and applause here!]
Fyi, the issue may have been resolved before the release of 4.63 (the release containing the expected fix). Either way, with 4.63 out, I think we can call it.
My thanks to all of you, the product team, and everyone who participated in/responded to the thread. The support via this thread was unprecedented (in my experience). I've been online for decades…and I don't think I've ever posted a software issue, had it acknowledged, participated in a defect definition, witnessed a resolution notice, and validated the fix. Frankly, I wouldn't even expect that level of engagement and service, but, just wow, it was really impressive and great. Ima tell my friends and family about this one.
Thank you again.

Re: Ideas on how to handle repayment?
I would set up an asset account to represent the loan and book principle payments as transfers with that account.
If they are paying interest, then the deposit transaction for the payment would have to be split between a transfer with the asset account and an interest income category.

Re: Ideas on how to handle repayment?
@DannyB, thanks for posting your inquiry to the Community!
I would personally set up an Income Category for the payments, and I would definitely count it as income toward my budget. I also sold a car to my sister-in-law a few years back, and it helped offset the cost of my new car. 😁
Re: The year is officially halfway over!
Thanks @DannyB — I've added my vote to the suggestion you linked.
My sister's bill is quarterly, so I think I'll set her up with a quarterly goal and just keep withdrawing funds and changing the date each quarter. I'll see how that goes.

Re: Can't connect to Empower 401k - FDP-105 (edited)
OK, for once an issue with Empower cleared up by itself :) Thanks.
Re: Robinhood Cash separate from stock / Duplication
Yes I see why I needed a post. I have created a new one to address the cash issue with Robinhood.
Re: Create a Rule with AND condition instead or OR
I took some time to do some actual testing of the Rules implementation in Simplifi.
Turns out what I thought was being treated as an "OR" condition is actually an "AND".
In order to achieve an "OR" condition you would create a separate role for each keyword.
Below is my documentation based on the default "Original Statement Name".
Keep in mind that by partial matches are considered matches as well (see scenario 2 "angel")
Scenario 1
< --- Orig Statement Name > search = "lax" |
|
Scenario 2 < --- Orig Statement Names > Search "angel" |
Re: Create a Rule with AND condition instead or OR
I'm a little confused by this discussion. The idea post you linked seems to be asking Simplifi to implement an "OR" condition, which is what @geekcred and the support article say we already have.
- @geekcred says that keywords words in a rule are treated as "OR" conditions (and then goes on to request support for AND conditions).
- The idea post you linked says that "The AND condition: this is what you have" (and then goes on to request support for OR conditions).
- The support article you linked says you can "add additional OR keywords by clicking the plus button."
For my part, I thought that:
- the "Contains" version of a rule was basically an "AND" rule — the transaction had to have all of the keywords listed, but not in any particular order, and
- the "is Exactly" version of a rule was also an "AND" rule — but that the transaction had to have all of the keywords listed, in order, and no other words.
Can you help me with this? Is it true that the key words in a rule (using "Contains") are treated as "OR" conditions? Does that mean that a rule will match a transaction if it contains ANY of the keywords?
