Transaction registers: we'd love your input
Hi there,
I'm Kirby. I work in product management. While I have a long history with Quicken (worked at Intuit after college), I'm newly working on Simplifi.
I'd love to meet you all and get your thoughts on some changes that are planned for the transaction register.
If you have time and are wiling to try out the changes in your Simplifi account, I'd love to have you [removed link - sessions closed].
In the session, I'll turn on the feature for you (it won't harm your data), and I can turn it off again quickly, if you like.
We are always eager to hear from you, and to check our planned improvements with you. Thanks in advance for your support of Quicken and I look forward to talking.
Re: Issue connecting two logins with Vanguard (edited)
Thanks for the update to your post, @t975! I used to actually have a Vanguard Small Business account, so I had presumed it was as separate in Simplifi as it was with Vanguard back when I had it. I do not currently have a Vanguard Small Business account, but I was able to sign in to one of my Vanguard accounts using that institution and the other using the standard Vanguard option. In case a visual helps anyone else, this is what is working as of this precise moment. Who knows when it might break? LOL
Re: Issue connecting two logins with Vanguard (edited)
same issue. Can’t have both Vanguard accounts, disconnects the other one. Tried connecting one from the app and the other from a separate computer browser.
Update: got the work around to work. using vanguard small business for one account, on a separate device. Now they show up as separate accounts (Vanguard for one, Vanguard Small Business for the other)
Re: Don't close modal windows when clicking outside of them; add a confirmation (edited)
I have accidentally clicked outside of the Transaction Detail window many times, and it's always driven me nuts that it closes it and loses all of my changes. This definitely has my vote!
Re: Don't close modal windows when clicking outside of them; add a confirmation (edited)
BTW: Making it modal would require you to either select 'SAVE' or 'CANCEL', as opposed to cancelling without warning.

Re: Missing Alight Solutions (3 Merged Votes)
@Coach Natalie used to regularly post links that you could share with your financial institution and ask them to sign up to be supported. Of course, back then we only had Intuit-based connections on here, now there are more connection methods supported. I think it might've been something like this but i could be wrong - - and the bank had to agree to it and allow them to set up a test account and pay a fee to be included. But now OFX (or whatever it is) is not the only/primary way to connect to Simplifi. It might be helpful if they still provided those links so you could more directly petition your bank to support Simplifi.

Re: Missing Alight Solutions (3 Merged Votes)
Its been ~2-ish years, and we still do not have an Alight integration for RTX/Raytheon. Any update on when that will be added? It worked ever-so-briefly back when Raytheon switched from Fidelity to Alight after their merger with UTC to form RTX… but broke within weeks and now its not even listed as an option in Simplifi
Re: Ability to hide Net Worth
Yes, making Net Worth less prominent is crucial. Please at least remove Net Worth from the top of the Transactions page on the web version. I don't need to see my total net worth pinned in large bold font when I'm reviewing some transactions!
Alternatives to completely removing Net Worth:
- Ability to toggle Net Worth display on/off like OP request
- Add a per-account setting to allow users to specify which account balances contribute to the displayed Net Worth. This would allow, for example, only including checking accounts and not investment accounts.
