Re: Annual Spending Plan
I don't know the terms to search for, but I am sure this idea has already been suggested and has votes, I would suggest looking for it via search and having it merged with this.
I am on vacation, and have to leave for lunch in 4 minutes, so I don't have the time to search right now.
I will be back from vacation by Monday.

Re: Annual Spending Plan
I think that's a great idea. Maybe simplifi could suggest what the goal might be based on the recurring expenses that exist that are less than monthly. Obviously we'd want to be able to override it. And it should let us assign the recurring items to that savings goal so they are automatically subtracted from it. (It could even suggest the series that would be a good fit for this - the ones that are less often than every month.)

Yep, they have confirmed this feature is coming back. Now if I could only buy an -ing for Planned Spend and Other Spend? Please.😁

Re: Savings Goals and the Spending Plan
Hello @djob13,
Thanks for the reply! Even though the idea posts may appear old, that does not mean they are stagnant by any means. All of the posts I shared have recent comments and votes as well! If they match with what you are requesting, I would definitely suggest giving them a vote and following for updates!

i believe they have confirmed it is coming back already. I believe it was unintentionally removed, or it was removed and there was enough complaints about it being gone that - they decided it's coming back.
I don't know that they have a timeline.

Re: Income & Expense Report: Share your feedback here!
Really like the new income & expense report that allows me to see a summary of categories per each month over a multi-month period along with total per category. One addition I'd love to see with this report is the ability to enter an annual budget amount for each category somewhere in Simplifi and be able to choose an option to display the annual budget amount in a column beside the YTD total for each category in this report. Being able to see that in a simple report is something that I have found quite lacking in Simplifi. Thanks for considering!
Re: Annual Spending Plan
I would love a better way to save for and spread out the less frequent expenses as well. I lean towards savings goals as well and already kind of have a few set up this way. It's still more manual than I would prefer.
Here's a half (or less)-baked idea that could take advantage of the information already captured in other areas…I would assume that most of us have these expenses already set as recurring series. I wonder if it would be possible to assign a Series to a Goal. Maybe with the option to +/- by a set dollar amount or percent to account for possible billing changes year over year. I haven't fully thought through how the goal amount would calculate to account for the wide variation in frequencies or how it would update/reset year over year, etc. I do think users would have different ways they would want the goals split, with some wanting only one or two broader goals while others would want much more segregated goals (one for car insurance, one for annual subscriptions, one for seasonal lawn care, etc), so having flexibility in the goal assignment would be important.
It's just a thought and may or may not be a good solution, but thought I'd throw it out there to get wheels turning!
Re: Recycle Bin for Deleted Transactions (edited)
It sounds like there should be a dialogue confirming the delete to prevent that from happening. That would probably be easier than a recycle bin for deleted transactions.

Re: Annual Spending Plan
@DannyB Thanks for the clarification. I hope you get something. I currently have a Savings Goal but never have found them too useful for me.
I don't need a goal for savings. I just save. 😀 I have an amount in my head as a limit in my Checking account. When it is over that on the last day of the month, I move the extra to Savings. I did it just now.
The Devil is always in the details.
