Re: "Bank Balance" leads to omission of pending transactions from Cash Flow (edited)
@DryHeat — I can confirm (through my overdraft fee!) that what you described at the end of your post (@DryHeat's original comment now moved here) is exactly what's happening:
Users with bank accounts that report balances that already take pending transactions into account are left to choose between two "balance type" viewing options that both lead to inaccurate cash flows.
This is especially infuriating in the case of Simplifi-initiated A2A transfers—it's the left hand not talking to the right. There is no known workaround I have found, other than to toggle between the two views, identify those transactions that are double-counted in the BalWithPending view but omitted entirely in the BankBal view, and then manually add/subtract those transactions yourself.
I'm being told that this is how it's "supposed" to work.
Fundamentally, IMO, if you can change a viewing option and suddenly alter your cash flow projections significantly, then that cash flow functionality is broken. We can debate about what displayed balances ought to reflect under various settings, but there is an immutable truth to cash flow projections that Quicken Simplifi violates.

This, please priortize 1 in this comment. I have been asking for this for a while. Today needs to be an option in the To date in custom time filters.
Re: Manually entered transactions
I've seen the same, and if you select both transactions there should be a button at the top to merge them.
Re: Manually entered transactions
I don't think you are talking about recurring series, but I could be wrong about that. I think what you are saying is something like this:
- You enter a manual transaction to represent, for example, a payment made from an account,
- Later, Simplifi downloads transactions from that account, including one that represents that same payment,
- Simplifi does not recognize that both transactions (manual and downloaded) represent the same payment,
- So Simplifi does not merge them into one transaction and you end up with two transactions in the account.
Is that what is happening?
FWIW, in my experience Simplifi almost always merges such transactions but occasionally fails. But I don't manually enter very many transactions. @SRC54 does a lot of that, so he may be able to help.

Re: Adding new CD account with E*Trade Bank - "You have already added all your accounts at this bank."
Hi Coach,
I did a copy / paste. Hope this clarifies your questions….
To clarify, is E*Trade still connecting at this point just fine? YES, BOTH ACCOUNTS.
Is it just the transactions themselves that are not downloading correctly? CORRECT.
Is it all transactions, or just some? THEY are brand-new account, so there is only one interest payment missing in each account.
If the steps above did not work to resolve this issue, can you please provide the following information? I will work on that soon and send it privately.
This must be an E*Trade / Morgan Stanley problem as I have had no problems with Ally, AMEX, Discover, Capital One and Well Fargo.
Thanks,

Re: Saved Reports: Share your feedback here!
Really great addition! I have a few feature requests:
- Custom date range needs to support "today" as the "end date". For example, I want to see graphs from my first day on Simplifi to today, but anything other than the several defined ranges (last month, last year, year-to-date, etc) require a fixed end date. I can save a graph that ends today, 4/13/2026, but tomorrow it will be out of date.
- We need a way to select category exclusions, rather than a list of included categories. I want a report that shows "all spending except category 'Rent'". For a one-off report, I can select all categories then uncheck "Rent". But over time, as I add more categories, the saved report becomes out of date. Same logic applies to accounts.
I love this feature, I'm very pleased so far.
Re: Rules not working
Thank you. I updated the type to be income instead of expense. Will test that out on the next deposit. Appreciate the help!

Thank you to all of you for your help, especially @kambhamp1 for resolving this issue for me.
Re: Add OneFinance/OnePay to Supported Banks (edited)
One of those redacted apps has the same first name as the LLC that Quicken is a registered trademark of. Why can't Simplifi play nice with OnePay then?
