Re: Spending Plan Redesign: Share your feedback here!
Here are some of my initial thoughts:
- There is wasted real estate in the lefthand menu. There is a lot of white space between the category/grouping and the amount that would be much better used for the transaction details. Having the option to collapse/minimize the side bar might also be helpful, especially if wanting to maximize view of the transaction columns on a small screen.
- I like Income and Goals having their own groupings.
- Transfers should be separated from the Bills/Subscriptions as it's very confusing/visually overwhelming to me to have those intermingled.
- Undecided on whether I would prefer Bills & Subscriptions to be separated by default or if the ability to filter is sufficient for me.
- I like the separate sections for the Excluded items.
- I wish that Bills (i.e. all Series types) had the option to display more columns, including the ability to sort and with "sticky" selections. This is the only place that doesn't have at least some ability to customize the column views. One use case for ability to sort: sorting by category instead of date would make it easier for me to identify transactions that were inadvertently included/excluded. I use tags and notes a lot, including on recurring transactions, and would love to see that information at quick glance.
- While I think I overall like the spending plan update, I agree with many others that this redesign was by far not the top priority for me and would rather have seen development on goal registers, enhanced split transaction functionality, including planned spending in cash flow projections, rule improvements, full transaction details for upcoming reminders, or creating transactions from reminders (just to name a few). And yes, I have voted for all of these ideas and commented on many of them as well!
Re: TIAA Reporting Connection Issues
@Sberthrong - [removed - no soliciting) I can't take it anymore that the TIAA is not synching!
Re: TIAA Reporting Connection Issues
We are heading into August. My main investments are through TIAA. Users who paid for a yearly subscription should be able to get a refund at this point as Simplifi is obsolete now for managing finances and this is a Intuit issue not TIAA. I have tried a free trial too on another platform that syncs flawlessly.
Re: Notifications Reappearing
Ha, yes but this year I learned to stay away from the developer beta's. After several feedback reports to them, I think I'll shy away from that going forward. I will say they promptly fixed the issues I reported. The public beta's seem to have most of the kinks worked out by the time they release them.
Re: Notifications Reappearing
I'm on Version: 4.68.0
I don't want to lead you guys astray regarding notifications sticking around on all 3 of my devices, but I believe they remain until I delete them on each one.
I just sent the logs.
Re: Recurring Savings Goals year over year/ability to restart Goals (edited)
I'm not sure if the following suggestion is all that different from what's above, but…
I suggest enhancing Savings Goals by allowing us to set up automatically recurring Savings Goals.
For example, I would like to be able to create a semi-annual property tax savings goal for a certain amount with a duration of 6 months and have it recur (start a new goal) in November and in May. I could then just adjust the amount each year based on new tax assessments.
The recurrence cycle would need to be flexible to accommodate bi-monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, annually, or even irregular dates.

Re: Add support for Investor360
I, too, need to add Infestor360 and it is NOT an option. I’m extremely disappointed that this isn’t an option and am seriously considering other, more comprehensive software.
Re: Add support for Investor360
I just signed up for Quicken Simplifi and will drop it, since Investor360 is not supported.
Re: Income & Expense Report: Share your feedback here!
Appreciate the work the team is doing to improve the app/interface all the time. The report looks great! Appreciate being able to see the various totals for groups of categories across time. Very useful to be able to spot a trend or something needing attention. One SMALL REQUEST: when I open the report all the category groups are expanded by default (ie. Food & Dining) and show all category totals (Dining out, Groceries, etc). As someone who has lots of categories I found it more useful to collapse the groups first to be able to see the big picture at a glance, then open to drill down if I was interested. I noticed that when I left and came back to the report the category groups were uncollapsed again by default. My suggestion/request would be that if possible the report would remember the user's preference to show items collapsed or uncollapsed. Imagining that this might more complicated that it seems to build/code, I think a simpler request but also improvement would be that the report by default open with the category groups COLLAPSED — users could then drill down and expand when they want to see a more detailed breakdown. This would fit the spirit of the report of letting you get a big picture view and then dig deeper when needed. Keep up the great work!
