Re: Investment Transactions should not categorize "Fees" as an expense (edited)
@SRC54 — I think the answer is even simpler. I didn't realize that you were talking about a category that is only available for investment transactions. I was looking at the general category list. I see it now.

Re: Handle Linking and Categorizing Transfer Transactions Better (edited)
I agree with everything in the original post with one exception: it's fine if transfers from the source side are automatically linked to transfers on the target side where the date differs. Often time, a transfer shows up on one side as cleared one business day before it registers on the other side. Sometimes it may take few calendar days for one side to show up due to holidays or weekends.
So, it's fine if transfers from the source side are automatically linked to transfers on the target side where the posted date differs provided Simplifi applies the proper rules and fixes (if these aren't in place currently, please add):
- The transactions are dated within 3 business days or less of one another.
- The transaction dollar amounts are exactly the same.
- Like the original poster requests, there needs to be a way to link a transfer on the source side with a specific transfer on the target side. (i.e. Link *this* one with *that* one), so the user can quickly fix any transfers that were incorrectly linked by Simplifi. Currently, it's a nightmare to unlink paired transactions because Simplifi wants to delete one of the transactions in the process.
Re: Issue connecting two logins with Vanguard (edited)
Since the recent Vanguard API update, I have been unable to connect two separate Vanguard accounts (both are Roth IRAs) to my single Simplifi account. If I successfully reconnect one account, the other immediately disconnects and shows a Care Code 324.
I reached out to Simplifi support and was told that due to the changes in Vanguard's API, it is no longer feasible to link multiple accounts that have separate login credentials. The suggested solution was to merge the two Vanguard accounts under a single login.
The problem is that this is not possible. Vanguard's policy, as it pertains to Roth IRAs, does not allow for two such accounts to be held under one login. This means the recommended workaround is not a viable solution for me or for any other user in a similar situation.
This issue is a significant barrier to using Simplifi to track my full financial picture. I'm hoping that by posting here, the development teams at both Simplifi and Vanguard can be made aware of this incompatibility and work towards a permanent solution.
Re: Customize Notifications by Account (edited)
Exactly. For some accounts, I expect to go below my set global threshold, and for others, regularly, I do not.
Either allow setting limits per account or let us turn notifications on or off.

Re: Include checking account balance in Spending Plan (3 Merged Votes)
wow, people have been asking for this for five years now! Why has it not happened???
Re: Include checking account balance in Spending Plan (3 Merged Votes)
Personally, I find the simple solution is to "live update" all preceding months' available funds based on what is happening in the current month. Basically, a specialized cash flow system.
I currently running into this issue because I will be paid at the end of the month, but my rent will be at the 1st of the next month.
