Re: Certain transactions always come auto flagged as "exclude from spending plan" (edited)
Hi, @UrsulaA, @DannyB and @Coach Jon , thank you for your replies.
Let me try to address your questions. Before I do, just a quick note: I'm happy to share more with your support team, including logs, if that would help them figure this out more quickly.
- Yes, "Cashback" is a custom category under Income. I have a rule that categorizes any transaction with "real time rewards" in the description as Cashback.
- What are real time rewards? US Bank offers this feature on one of their credit cards. If you have enough points and make a purchase in a qualifying category (like Uber rides), they immediately credit your account using points. For example, I spent $11.95 on Uber, and a few minutes later US Bank credited the same amount back to my account. I prefer to track these as Income/Cashback, and that's how I’ve set it up.
- I only recently started seeing this behavior. I don’t recall it happening in the past. It seems to have started a couple of months ago.
- @DannyB , as mentioned above, these are not refunds for returned purchases. And yes, in the past, the “exclusions” fields were left blank.
- This is not part of a recurring series. It only occurs when two conditions are met: (1) I use the card for a qualifying purchase (e.g., Uber), and (2) I have enough reward points to cover the cost. For example, I could take an Uber tomorrow and not get a cashback if I don’t have enough points in my rewards balance.
Thanks again for your replies.
Re: Accounting for Rolled Over Planned Spending Cash
Please add this functionality. We need to be able to keep track of our rollover funds. By disconnecting the rollover amounts from actual funds available, it makes it very difficult to have any sort of accountability around that spending.
Re: Accounting for Rolled Over Planned Spending Cash
I voted yes for this. Rollover (if used) is obligated money from leftover funds in another month and are in either a checking or savings account probably. I have a workaround to add some of those funds back when I need them but that should be native to the app.
I would suggest either deleting the rollover feature or completing the feature by allowing the addition of additional funds to a budget without tying it to a transaction.
Re: Can't add Fidelity Cash Management Accounts
I tried just now (afternoon of the next day) and all CMAs were successfully added to Simplifi. Thank you!
Re: payee names cut off in the register when hovering and editing (edited)
Hello @cchatham11,
Thanks for reaching out! I merged your post here, as it was already reported here. We did implement a fix for the upcoming 4.66.0 Web application release. Be sure to let us know if this issue is resolved when that version rolls around!

Hello @EL1234,
I am not aware of when that will be myself, but we will be sure to let everyone know once that occurs!

Re: Past issue with recurring transactions and projected balance still happening? (edited)
@jaarso, thanks for posting your inquiry to the Community!
I'm not aware of any issues currently that cause reminders to not be counted in Projected Cash Flow, even when 'past due'. Quicken Simplifi definitely offers a 30-day money-back guarantee, so you can try out the program for 30 days again if you'd like.
I hope this helps!
Re: Savings Goal Doesn't Update
Hello @Coach Jon
I haven't heard anything back but I checked today and it seems to be working again.
Thanks.
Re: Visa Provisioning Transactions
If those are what I think they are, and not actual transactions you will have to pay back, I would just delete them. Is this a new account? I only got those once, and it was a manual account, and I think I never bothered to enter them. The amounts are just 0.00, right?
But if you want, you can categorize it as a bank fee.
If I have it wrong, please ignore me. 😀
