Re: Teachers Retirement System of NYC
I, like many others, are moving here from Mint on a trial basis. TRS NYC (www.trsnyc.org) was available on Mint, and I was hoping it would be here as well. This and my NW Mutual accounts are my main investments, and Simplifi connects to neither!! Quicken please get these working or you'll be losing alot of potential customers
Re: Editing transactions inline on the web app is not saving changes until clicking elsewhere (edited)
Thanks @Coach Kristina I look forward to knowing definitively whether this is intended behavior.
I can confirm that it works the same in Quicken Classic both on the web and the desktop app. My wife says her statewide student database works the same way (it uses browser access too). My gradebook program worked the same way too.
I wonder if this behavior changed with the update to the Transaction Register because I too kind of remember its being simpler in the earlier iterations of Simplifi. But I have a tendency to forget those kind of things.
At any rate, it is fine with me as is now that I am used to it and it does seems to be rather database standard behavior.

Thanks @Coach Kristina
I mostly type to find the category I want, so this happens pretty often for me.
Link Savings Goal to Account Balance
^ "Currently, we don't offer a way to link the savings goals to a specific account."
Posting this to see if more users are actively interested, and maybe I missed a similar discussion thread.
In my opinion, it would simplifi the process of managing savings goals if a goal was "simply" linked to an account: no more manual contributions or withdrawals to individual savings goals! To me, the current in-app-only abstraction of savings goals having contributions or withdrawals that only exist in the scope of the savings goal feels cumbersome. I LOVE the app otherwise. You all rock!!
Re: Editing transactions inline on the web app is not saving changes until clicking elsewhere (edited)
Thank you for clarifying,
I can replicate what you're seeing. When you type it in or use keyboard commands to select the category, an extra keystroke is required to confirm the entry before it is saved. If you use a mouse (or trackpad), then it saves right away. This seems to be intended behavior, but I forwarded it internally to my team for confirmation.
Thank you!
Re: Unlinking a transaction from a series should put the old reminder back
Thanks @Coach Kristina
Yes, it was the same payee and same series as last time, with different amounts.
I understand about amount matching but I would think that the date and payee should have to match or be pretty similar as well…
I'll see if amount matching helps going forwards. Thanks!
Re: Unlinking a transaction from a series should put the old reminder back
And meanwhile I changed the series from Auto Match to Limited Range in case it'll help at all.
Re: Simplifi app becomes unresponsive for a time after syncing
Thank you both for the response. I took your advice and deleted and reinstalled the app. It had the lag problem the first time after the sync, but the 2nd time it did not. Hopefully the reinstall resolved it. Thanks again
Re: Bring the original Reminder back when an incorrectly linked transaction is unlinked (edited)
Hi @EL1234 I too didn't know that this request existed. I've noticed this behavior before as well but it didn't happen enough to me that I worried about it, but yes, once you unlink the bad match, the original reminder should come back unless you delete the transaction (maybe) or dismiss the reminder.
So upvoted.

Upvoted! This happens fairly often with my credit card payment reminder if I get a refund for a return. It's quite annoying that it messes up the cash flow projection!
