New Feature Alert: Spending and Income Tabs in Your Registers!
We’ve made it even easier to understand your finances right from your transaction registers with the Spending and Income tabs!
With Early Access enabled, you’ll now see three tabs at the top of your register on the Quicken Simplifi Web App:
- Transactions – your regular register view you’re already familiar with
- Spending – a quick view of your spending insights
- Income – a breakdown of your income transactions
The Spending and Income tabs provide the same filtering and breakdown options you’ll find in the Reports section — but without ever leaving your register!
You can access these tabs for any header in your Accounts List, as well as for individual accounts. Selecting them from a specific area will show data for that account or group of accounts, giving you a quick, focused look at your income and spending — while still letting you edit any transaction directly.
This update makes it simpler than ever to stay on top of your money! Let us know what you think of this new feature by clicking the link below!

[ONGOING] 11/18/25: Vanguard - Issue connecting multiple logins
We’re currently seeing an issue with Vanguard in Quicken Simplifi where users with multiple logins (such as their own and a spouse’s) experience one login disconnecting as soon as the other is connected. Users are also seeing that both sets of login credentials are being grouped under a single Financial Institution in Settings > Accounts, so they are unsure which login is disconnected.
We have identified this as an issue with Vanguard's token authorization. The issue has been reported to Vanguard through our aggregation partner, and we are working to resolve it as quickly as possible. We currently have no ETA to provide on when a resolution can be expected, but will post updates as soon as we do.
If you're experiencing this issue in Quicken Simplifi, there is a workaround that was developed by a customer and verified by Quicken and our aggregation partner. The workaround is to set up the first account owner on the 'Vanguard' bank option, and then use either 'Vanguard Retd' or 'Vanguard Small Business' for the other set of accounts. This should allow all of your Vanguard accounts to stay connected!

Re: Gobble Up Some Gratitude!
I am grateful for many things that have nothing to do with what we discuss here. Too many to even begin to list.
This month, for example, I am grateful that the mass removed from our daughter's dog's foreleg turned out to be benign and not cancerous. He is 11 months old and deserves to have much more life than he has had so far. And our daughter deserves to experience all those years of fun and love with him. Grateful, indeed.

Re: Getting Setup for 2026 - A Just for Fun Post
I created an Excel reconciliation. It is simple, but helps me to make sure all money is accounted for. On one side I have the assets and liabilities from Simplifi. On another I have the bank balances. I also have a section for savings goals. I then reconcile all savings goals, rollover spending, and current liabilities and compare to assets. It doesn't exactly account for it in Simplifi, but I then know that that money in my checking is for rollover spending and it works itself out.
I hope this helps. Maybe someday I will be able to do everything in Simplifi. They do keep improving.
Re: Getting Setup for 2026 - A Just for Fun Post
I think the main difference between us is that I often refer to past Spending Plans to see how I did and to help reset my expectations for future Spending Plans. I know I could get similar information from Reports, but I do most of my financial work in Spending Plan so it's easier for me to compare apples to apples.
This works for me because I don't actually "do" anything with the "Left at end of month" funds — meaning I don't put it in a different account or contribute it to a SG or anything like that. Instead, I just look back over the months in Spending Plan to see how much excess (or occassional loss) I had.
