Re: Spending Plan: Option to forward 'Left at End of Month/Available' to the following month (edited)
I have come to agree with you on this. I no longer see any benefit for my idea here based on the how and why of the Spending Plan. Indeed, I would withdraw this idea but since it has received votes, it can't be withdrawn. However, I don't expect this to be implemented any time soon if at all and would certainly want other much more useful suggestions implemented prior to this.

Re: Spending Plan: Option to forward 'Left at End of Month/Available' to the following month (edited)
The problem with rolling over available spending to next month is: At that point, you don't really have a budget, you really just have some variant of forecasted account balances (cash flow chart). But I have thought ideas were bad before and they got implemented (and not necessarily in a bad way either), I am just throwing in my 2 cents.

Re: Ability to remove 'Related News' from Investments Portfolio
I’ve upvoted this suggestion, but thought I would echo what has been said already. I appreciate the work on the investments section and am excited to see it come along. The news section however takes up too much real estate. Please allow it to be hidden or collapsed.
It is less intrusive on the mobile version because it’s a small side-scrolling portion that you can scroll past and then dig into your data. But on the web version the news eats up precious space.
Re: Ability to run Reports by Subcategory (edited)
This is an old thread but wanted to comment because it think it’s important.
The ability to see subcategory totals is a basic and important feature to make reports helpful when reviewing broad parent categories like “bills” “entertainment” or “shopping”. The total spending report on the web app does it correctly and works very well — clicking on a category shows the breakdown of the subcategory totals. The mobile total spending report (still) does not do this; It only shows the totals for parent level categories. I thought it would be developed and built over some time, and I’m surprised to see this still not available.
I’ve upvoted this (which has a fairly high count). Please reconsider the build request. It’s not a flashy new build, but will nicely help round out the mobile total spending report by adding basic but important functionality.
Re: Mobile App: Ability to drill down from the graph in Reports (edited)
Agreed! There was a topic from a few years back (2021) with a request similar to this that had a pretty high vote count.
Subcategory totals are incredibly helpful when monitoring spending within broad categories (food and dining, bills, entertainment, automotive, etc). The functionality is great in the total spending report on the web, and I would really love to see it come to mobile.
More and more, many of us spend an increasing amount of our time reviewing thing on our mobile devices.
Re: Persistent Filters Not Working on Mobile App (edited)
@HappyNorml, thanks for posting to the Community!
I have moved this out of Feature Requests, as persistent filters/views in reports works the same on the Quicken Simplifi Mobile App as the Web App. If the reports are the same between the two platforms, the settings will be preserved regardless of where you are accessing Quicken Simplifi. This is outlined in more detail here:
I just tested this and saw that my filters were preserved within the Mobile App itself (I used the Total Spending Report). I then saw this filter carried over to the Spending Report on the Web App, so this feature appears to be working as expected. With that, can you describe in more detail what specifically isn't being preserved on the Mobile App for you, and what report you're using?
We look forward to your reply!
Persistent Filters Not Working on Mobile App (edited)
The persistent filters for reports rolled out this summer have been great. Thank you!
I’ve noticed, however, that the mobile (iOS) app does not yet have this functionality. It would be equally great to have persistent filters for reports in the mobile app.
Re: Add 457b Retirement Account Type (edited)
I added my vote to this — even though it would not affect me directly, I think this makes sense to add.. For example, it looks like this is equivalent to what both my parents have and call "Deferred Comp" from gov't work.

Re: Mobile App: Persistent Views in Investments (edited)
Added my vote. I don't have any investments now, but I understand how this would be expected behavior. To me, on the web, this would be like persistent column selections (on reports), which I believe is still missing—something you would expect to work but doesn't yet.

Re: Using "Reset report" does not stick (edited)
Some additional data:
- Only one of my reports (Income) has the problem of reimposing a filter that has been cleared.
- When I impose filters on other reports, they do not reappear after being cleared.
- The filter that constantly reappears on the Income report is not the most recent one but instead one that I imposed some time ago — at least a week or two and perhaps longer.
- If I change the reappearing filter on the Income report to something else, then exit and restart the program, the old filter that I imposed weeks ago comes back. (In other words, it is not remembering the latest filter, but instead reimposing that one particular filter over and over.)
It seems that there is something about that particular filter (or when it was imposed) that has made it an unchangeable default setting.
