Re: Vancity is down Care code: FDP-102
I think I have solved the issue for Simplifi. Now, it's a matter of waiting until the update is made.
Vancity recently updated its website and members' experience. The old URL that is on Simplifi's account card is going to a page that no longer exists:
Instead Simplifi needs to change the URL to one of these two:
https://my.vancity.com/banking/home
or
I do accept discounts for doing the tech work 😜
Re: [UPDATED] 1/30/26: Duplicated or $0 Balance in Manual or Asset Accounts, and Savings Goals
UPDATE 1/23/26
The team has identified the root cause of this issue and has put a fix in place. This fix will be rolled out to users over the next two days, which should correct all user accounts to the correct balance by Sunday. 1/23/26.
We are also working on a correction for the balance history, which we estimate will be available next week; this will prevent any inaccurate dips when you review your balance history.
You won't need to take any action to fix your accounts, as all of these updates will be processed on our servers.
We again thank you for your patience while we work to correct this issue.

Re: [UPDATED] 1/30/26: Duplicated or $0 Balance in Manual or Asset Accounts, and Savings Goals
UPDATED 1/22/26
This Alert has been updated to include a temporary workaround for the issue while we continue to work on a resolution.
Users may try to delete the newly added opening balance transaction that resulted from this issue, and the account balance should correct itself. This may not work to correct the issue in all cases.
We appreciate everyone's patience!

Re: Incorrect Balances and Savings Goals for all Manually Tracked Accounts and Assets (edited)
Same here. The value of my home went up about $1.6M last night. I mean, I know the housing market is pretty crazy lately, but I have doubts. Like others, I have a magical new "Opening Balance" transaction that appeared out of nowhere.
Someone on the dev team is probably having a bad day right now.
Re: PayPal - Missing Credit Account (edited)
Same here. Balance is correct. No transactions downloaded since October 2025.
Re: Privacy Mode: Share your feedback here!
I waited a couple of days to see if anyone would say what I thought, and @EL1234 and @jorder have done.
I am not sure that it would make much sense for me to show someone how Simplifi works without their seeing at least transaction and split amounts. I think it's great to hide the net worth and account balances.
But OTOH, none of my friends is much interested in keeping up with finances. I guess they are too rich. They just spend and don't worry about it and have professionals do their taxes, but how they get the stuff together to send to them is a mystery to me.
I even showed my best friend who is a retired bookkeeper, and his response was that he did that for a living and "I don't want to do it anymore". LOL

Re: Mr. Cooper (formerly Nationstar Mortgage) FDP-105 error (edited)
I followed up with Rocket Mortgage now they are merged with Mr. Cooper. The continuity with 3rd party apps has been severed and there are NO plans to connect with 3rd arty apps in the future. WHen I sent my frustration with the decision. They said they are sorry I felt this way. I canceled the account to remove the uncategorized transactions which throws off the net worth.
I am now opened a manual account.
