Freedom Credit Union Transactions Don't Sync

Freedom Credit Union requires 2FA every time Simplifi connects to it and my transactions in Simplifi for that credit union are never current. I have to basically disconnect it and reconnect it to get any transactions--it doesn't just get them automatically after I complete the 2FA. It does weirdly still sync and show accurate account balances. Any fix for this so I can see transactions? With out them—it makes my spending plan inaccurate.

Hello @vmorgs,
Thanks for reaching out! Some banks have increased their security measures to protect your financial information and require verification with each connection attempt. Due to this change, you might be asked to complete a multi-factor authentication (MFA) with each account refresh in Quicken Simplifi.
While we understand how frustrating this may be, this process is in place to protect you and your account information. We don't have a way to prevent these requests. We do, however, have a way to reduce or turn off account updates in Quicken Simplifi for frequent MFA banks. This support article explains how to do this in Quicken Simplifi:
To your second concern regarding transactions not being current, can you let us know if the transactions in question are pending on the bank's website? While you may see pending transactions on your bank’s website, they may not have been downloaded into Quicken Simplifi just yet. At your bank’s discretion, pending transactions can appear immediately or take a few days to appear, even until they’re fully cleared. This is a common occurrence over the weekend. If you are missing a recent transaction, we recommend allowing a day for the pending transaction to download. Let us know!

Hi! So it's currently May and the last transaction in Simplifi from this account is February—and that's only because I disconnected and reconnected it in February. So despite completing 2FA for this bank each time I access Simplifi, nothing is being pulled into Simplifi—only my account balances are updating and that is it. And— I am totally on board with 2FA and understand the importance of it. Just seems like that might be the reason the transactions aren't being pulled in.

Hello @vmorgs,
Thanks for the additional information. I do not believe that MFA would cause your transactions to not get downloaded into the program, but I do know that if your missing transactions are more than 3 months old, they will not automatically download into Quicken Simplifi. Can you let us know if the account is currently connected within Quicken Simplifi? Additionally, what type of account is this (Checking, Savings, Credit Card, etc.)?
If the account is currently connected, I would see if a fresh connection brings in the transactions in question. You can make the account manual and then use the Add Account flow to get a completely fresh connection. If the connection is successful, you'll then want to link the account to your existing Quicken Simplifi account.

Hello! The accounts I am trying to connect are a checking, savings and auto loan and it is currently connected because the account balances ARE current in Simplifi.

Hello @vmorgs,
Thanks for the reply. For the auto loan itself, when you connect your loan and liability accounts in Quicken Simplifi, you will not see transactions downloaded into the connected account, but Quicken Simplifi will update the balance as changes are made to the balance on the bank's website. This means the balance will match what your bank shows, but you will not see those transactions in Quicken Simplifi.
I am not sure why the checking and savings accounts would not be updating correctly, as far as transactions not coming in, but please try the steps I gave previously and let us know if it brings in any transactions!

Hi! I tried those steps and it didn't work. Tried to have me re add income and bills but was picking up old income and bills and not new ones.

Hello @vmorgs,
Thanks for following up. To clarify, you tried the steps I gave regarding making the accounts manual and re-linking, correct? If so, were the accounts able to reconnect, and did they just not bring any new transactions in?
Additionally, what do you mean by "Tried to have me re-add income and bills, but was picking up old income and bills and not new ones."? If you can clarify, this would be helpful.
