Why doesn't Simplifi just use Plaid?

I resubscribe with the lowest subscription once a year to see if my banks have been included. They never are. I've requested they be added - sending a message into the ether.

Does someone have a non-canned reason that Quicken just doesn't tie into Plaid? This seems so [Removed - Language] obvious. It's the reason why I still have [removed competitor mention] as my actual bookkeeping software.

A real live human answer would be wonderful and yet my expectations are low on that…

I am not sure why Quicken contracts with certain companies. My guess is that Simplifi pretty much uses the same connections they use in Classic, which they call or used to call Quicken Connect.

I was under the impression that Simplifi does use some Plaid connections for certain banks.

Unfortunately, not all FIs are available, and I guess it has to do with economics. I have a Coign Account, which is not supported (probably Coign's fault), and I have a couple of accounts I use manually because Fidelity won't support Quicken as well as they used to do.

If the other product works for you, that is great. All we can do is keep asking and hope that ultimately our accounts will be supported. I know this doesn't help much but I did want you to get a reply.
