When bulk editing transactions, don't automatically mark them as 'Reviewed' (edited)
The way I intuitively make my adjustments is by starting with Payee on the left and moving left to right, Payee, Category, Notes. If I make a bulk change on Payee, the whole group disappears because now it is "reviewed" (even though i did not mark it as reviewed).
I would rather manually mark items (or groups of items) as reviewed, rather than the program deciding that because i made a bulk edit, all the transactions are verified and done.

Hello @lovetobudget,
Thank you for posting to the Community regarding this behavior!
I was able to confirm that this behavior is by design and is not a bug. With that said, I did go ahead and turn this into an Idea post requesting that transactions not be automatically marked as 'Reviewed' when bulk editing so other users can vote on it and our Product Team can review it.
I hope this helps!

+1 from me! I use the ‘Reviewed’ circles to do a mock-reconciliation - of sorts - when the bank statements arrive. I always end up having to uncheck 5 or 6 transactions before I beginning to check them all off again because Simplifi auto completed them.
Slightly annoying, not the end of the world.
Ideally in my mind, the ‘Reviewed’ circles wouldn’t actually get marked until the user physically marks them as such.Chris

Agree with the feedback here. I now don't use that bulk edit because of this behavior. To satisfy both camps, perhaps there should be an option in the bulk edit modal that lets the user decide whether the mass edit operations result in “Reviewed” transactions or not.1

THIS IS A DEFECT!
I messed up the accounting to my partner because I started using bulk edits to correct Simplifi's poor import categorization. I'd been doing it line by line for past year, which does NOT automatically change the line to "Reviewed". Encountering dozens of corrections and "uncategorized" in my recent review, I started taking advantage of bulk features. So, thinking bulk edit would be consistent with reviewing individual lines, plus there's a "Reviewed" checkbox at top of the bulk edit UI that remains unchecked after making edits…I changed and saved categories on dozes and dozens of transactions, not realizing they'd been marked behind the scenes as "Reviewed". I also setup a bunch of new rules to help…then in hindsight confirmed this "auto marking as reviewed" behavior is happening when you allow Simplifi to "Create Rules" to automatically categorize transactions, which unfortunately I created a ton of because their import is so poor.
Thus, all those bulk edit rows were left off my accounting of shared expenses that I flag and export to get her share of the expenses. Now I have to go back and correct all of this, what a huge PITA.
This is ABSOLUTELY A DEFECT, bulk edit should work just like editing individual rows and not automatically mark them as "Reviewed"…else, why even have a "Reviewed" checkbox in the bulk edit UI? At very least auto populate the dang "Reviewed" box in bulk UI so we see what UI is going to do on save. Then give us the opportunity to uncheck that box it if were not ready to complete the review.
Simplifi is remarkably good but its lack of good categorization import and this poor UI design has risen to more than annoyance, going to start looking for a better solution.
