I successfully synced my two savings accounts this morning, the first time in a month or so. Did you get word that OAth is live, @Coach Natalie ??

I was also able to synch my data with Amex this morning. It was a new routine that showed up: first a screen opened on the Amex site and asked me to log in. Then it asked me to authorize access. It then went back to Simplifi and asked for credentials once more (without any two-factor authorization) and it then synched the data.

Can confirm I was also able to add AmEx Savings back using the OAuth option.

I still got the two-factor text before I was able to sync.

It does look like the migration to OAuth has begun for the American Express - Banking instance!

I don't want to jinx myself, but this is now the first time in months that all of my accounts (20 of them) are synching properly. Light at the end of the tunnel? Thanks to Simplifi for keeping issues like these on the radar, even though at times we're not quite sure what the progress towards a solution is, except that it's a known issue.

So @Coach Natalie does the end result mean there should be no more two-factor prompt every time the accounts sync? If so, do you think I will have to re-add my accounts to set that up?

@vollmas, I can't answer that since MFA is controlled by the bank, but I sure hope so. Were you prompted to migrate your Amex accounts to OAuth? If not, you can force it by following these steps:

    1. Make all of your Amex accounts manual by following the steps here.
    2. Once you see the account(s) listed in the Manual Accounts section under Settings > Accounts, go back through the Add Account flow to reconnect to the "American Express" bank option.
    3. You should be presented with an OAuth window where you can sign into Amex and authorize your accounts.
    4. Carefully link the account(s) found to your existing Quicken Simplifi account(s) by following the steps here.

Let us know how things go, please!

Mine trying to sync it up through OAuth is giving an Error Code 400 after getting the prompt signin to Amex and authorize the account. This is the screenshot that occurs in Simplifi after signing in to Amex and getting a Successfully Authorized message on Amex (Simplifi if I go to the settings just says the account is disconnected if I look at it)

Of note though for @Coach Natalie, I went ahead and tried to connect it after this with just the regular American Express connection after American Express-Banking did the above, and it synced the Savings account without issue through that method.

@vollmas It seems like they over-performed; I was able to successfully add my savings account through the regular "American Express" option and everything seems to be working fine!

@Coach Natalie I followed the steps to make the accounts manual and reconnect with OAUTH, and all seems to be well now. No more prompting for 2FA.
