Automatic Category Assignment

I noticed that any Amazon, Target, or similar transaction is being automatically categorized by Simplifi in a “Gardening Supplies” expense category. This is really annoying. How can I stop it? I have no rules guiding these category selections neither for a specific content nor for a specific business. Any suggestions? Thank you!

I think if you go to Rules, you should be able to set the default category for Amazon and Target. I think you can even choose uncategorized if you wish. See if that works.

Thank you for the comment. That is the issue. When I search under Rules for Amazon or Target, there are no results.

You should be able to create one. Go to Settings:Rules. Choose + Rule in the Upper Right Corner and create a new rule for Target. If there is already a rule, it will ask you if you want to edit the old rule or replace it with the new one. You can update the name and the default category or leave it as uncategorized.

This is in the web app.
