Quicken for Mac: Duplicate Transactions in different accounts

I have the same transaction appearing in a current credit card account, and it also appears to be imported to a second account labeled Credit Card 2. Both instances show as payments.
Q1: Why is the system importing the same transaction into 2 different accounts?
Q2: If I delete the one for Credit Card 2, why does this create an out of balance situation with the bank?
