@Flopbot I survived the bombs bursting in air last night, but one more night to go. I hate to sound like my grandmother. But isn't fireworks the same as burning money in the front yard?
Update: There was some mischief with fireworks in my neighborhood Friday night (I was spared), but Police got called. And so last night was blissful silence.

It was pretty quiet around here on the 4th of July. No 🎇🎉🎆 at all.
Of course, I'm not in the USA right now… that may have something to do with it.😉

We had some fireworks around the house starting a few days before July 4th. My dogs behaved and were not too rattled.
We had a get together on Saturday and it was good. Yummy food including burgers, water melon, and pies.

@Coach Natalie Well, it helps to be a retired American history teacher. I am sort of surprised that hamburgers haven't supplanted hot dogs. I'll try to remember 1777 for the fireworks.
John Adams' last words were purported to be "Jefferson still lives", but TJ had died a few hours earlier at Monticello.
