I can't sync Quicken Simplifi with eTrade

I can't sync Quicken Simplify with eTrade. I get the following messages:

"Please enter six-digit code from VIP Access mobile app or hardware token".

What is this?

AND: We are unable to update E*Trade Bank at this time. Please try again later. If you continue to experience issues, please contact Simplifii support.

Care Code: QCS-0429-2

    Hello @ItalianPunch,

Thanks for reaching out! From your description, it seems like your financial institution is requesting a type of multi-factor authentication when trying to connect in Quicken Simplifi. Do you have a mobile application from the bank that sends you MFA codes/tokens?

No, not that I'm aware of ? I've had the account for over 10-years and I've never used a token.

  • I just added a token to see if that would help. I received the following error message:

To connect to E*Trade Bank, you must re-enter your credentials. If that does not work, try entering them on the website at E*Trade Bank to ensure they are correct.

    Care Code: FDP-103

NOTE: The credentials that I entered are correct, and they work when I log into eTrade on their website.

    Hello @ItalianPunch,

Thanks for the reply! I can see the FDP-103 error you are experiencing from our side. I also know that we do not support the password+token MFA options for E*Trade accounts, so I would suggest removing the token process when trying to connect within Quicken Simplifi. Once you do, does the previous error you mentioned return when trying to connect? Can you provide a screenshot if it does?
