Microsoft Office Sub

I have it categorized under Apps. I could call it software. I have an annual recurring set up as a subscription so it shows up once per year. (Of course, if you have MS Office for your job, it could be a professional expense!)
I have my own personalized set of expense categories I use in both Classic and Simplifi. Someone who uses the standard categories (I've deleted and or rearranged them) can tell you if there is one of those that suits. If not create a subcategory for Apps or Software where you deem it appropriate.
My categories are Essentials, Home, Recreation, Automobile, Tribute (Withholdings and Tithes), Extras (Unnecessary luxuries basically), Professional (now called Education since we've retired) and Concomitant (expenses that cut across the other categories). This latter is where I put Fees, Apps, Shipping, Presents, Sales Tax and Rebates.

I use a simpler system based mainly on the built-in accounts, because I am incurably lazy.
For personal I use Personal:Shopping:Software (I may have added this sub-category)
For business I use Business:Office Expenses:Software (category Tax info is Schedule C: Office Expenses)
NOTE: I am using the QBP version, which probably provides business categories not present in Simplifi.
