Sluggish response after manual CSV import
Why is that after manual import of CSV the web app freeze up and become sluggish? It takes a few minutes before it normalize again. This happens even if i only import less than 5 items.
I opened Chrome dev tool and it doesn't seem to be a slow response from server but rather the app itself.
I changed laptops and browsers but still the same.
Is this a known issue that's being fixed?

Hello @Dann,
Thanks for reaching out! This is not something I myself have noticed, but it sounds like it may be processing the data you uploaded for import. If you can successfully import everything, and it returns to normal within a few minutes, then it does seem like it is working correctly. The next time it happens, can you supply a screen recording showing how it freezes up? This would help us understand your situation better.

Hi Coach Jon,
Unfortunately, I do not have the time to document this. I will have to move on to another personal finance web app. I'm in the middle of the migration.
I've been using Simplifi for a year coming from Quicken Home and Office desktop app. I will guess that this is related to the number of accounts I have (about 35) amd number of transactions (1 year's worth for each account). My bookkeeper complained about this initially and I'm not really feeling it everytime i import CSV at first. I scan my receipts in Gemini AI and convert to CSV and send to my bookkeeper for import.
Then months pass, i noticed that it becomes slower and slower when i do the import. I'm hoping your team will catch this and will be fixed soon but looks like it's still a pending issue for me.
I'm a developer backend myself. I would guess the issue is in the client side because no REST transactions happen during the sluggish UI. Probably a web worker asyc processes in the background. It didn't scale well.
I'll probably move back again to Simplifi depending if I feel that there's a good reason to go back in the future. Meanwhile, all the best.
