Releasing planned spend doesn't change the total in the Spending Plan (edited)
I have an anticipated budget I put into Quicken using planned spending. There are items that I Released balance, so it shows as zero remaining in the item in planned spending. However, the total amount still shown as anticipated to spend includes the amounts that I released from the planned spending/budget… so my budget is showing a large deficit that doesn't exist.
Should releasing unspent funds be taken off the planned spending total? It isn't doing that now.
Thanks

So you have your Spending Plan for August set up and it shows you as having a deficit (a negative amount) leftover?
You are going ahead and releasing some of your planned spending now rather than wait until the end of the month?
Anyhow, yes, this should lower your Planned Spending and decrease your deficit (or give a surplus) for the month.
If your Planned Spending doesn't decrease, then it is likely a problem with the app updating. Try refreshing the app or signing out and back in to see if it will update.
Are you using the web app or the phone app? Does it do the same on both?

I've had some weirdness today with my Spending Plan as well. I was able to work around it using 4.71.0. July Planned Categories got reset to 0.00. I'll keep an eye on it. Glad you got it resolved. @johnnydr4
