Deleted Savings Goals still showing in accounts (edited)
I gave up on the savings goal as there were issues with them that are apparently being worked on. I deleted the savings goals that were encumbering my savings accounts… However with no savings goals against my savings account, the dashboard is showing an encumbrance against by savings account in an amount that makes no sense. I clicked on it and it is showing no goals exist, but the encumbrance is still shown against the account. not sure why it's not zero.

Thanks, Coach Natalie! I deleted the Savings Goal for now but unfortunately the "Savings Goals" are still showing in my Accounts on the Dashboard. If I click on "Savings Goals" it just brings me to a "Create your first Savings goal!" page, which confirms the goal has been deleted.

I have the same issue. I tried to set up a Savings Goal. Then deleted it but the Goals are still attached to the Accounts.

My account has the same issue. Here was my set of events:
I created the goal several days ago to account for a large purchase and allocated 100% of the money on the new goal's dialog windows.
Now that I have spent the money, I simply deleted the goal. I did not perform any withdrawals. This resulted in my account still having an "Unknown goal" of the same amount allocated. It's messing up my account numbers and I have no way of undoing this from my end.0 -

I recently decided to eliminate 2 savings goals in 2 separate accounts. When I clicked delete, I received the message "Are you sure you want to delete this goal? All your contributions will be moved back to the account you contributed from." I continued to click Delete again because this is what I wanted.
Now I'm trying to contribute to my other goals and it says funds are not available. This is because the money was never returned to the available balance, and it happened in both accounts. Since I deleted the goals, there's now no way to "withdraw" the funds to return them to the respective accounts. If I look in Savings goals "By goal" they are not there, but if I switch the view to "By account," I can see them as "Unknown Goal" with the funds still encumbered, and actually there is a pie chart where I can hover the mouse over the color associated with the "Unkown Goal" and it still shows the original name of the Savings Goal there.
I'm no longer able to contribute to my goals until this is fixed.

I realize I could have avoided this by using the "Withdraw from goal" feature prior to deleting the goal, but I didn't expect such a simple feature to have such a major bug. I need a fix, manual or otherwise.

I had a savings goal that I ended up deleting. The confirmation message said something about making all the funds available to spend in the accounts they came from. Instead, the goal was deleted, but the funds are still in it leaving money in "Unknown Goals". Is there a way to reset my Savings Goal stuff?

I have had some issues recently with Savings goals. Originally the issues started where I would contribute or withdraw money to or from a goal. Then when I went to the view Savings Goals by Goal or by Account, the amounts were different. I understand that a goal could be across accounts so it would look different but certain goals would never add up to be the same. As a result I had to delete some goals and try to start them over. Now, for some of those that I deleted, I have an 'Unknown Goal' that is holding the amount I deleted. So the money is not in my available amount but also I can only see the 'Unknown Goal' in the By Account section so I can't change or do anything. Simplifi says they are aware of the issue and that it is global and affecting many customers, but my experience with Simplifi is that an issue is identified, but hardly ever fixed. Even if it is, I was told that maybe it would be in an end of month release. Has anyone found a way around this? These Savings Goals were a huge reason I went to Simplify and may have to start looking for a better tool.

I have this exact same issue and experience. I recently decided to delete 3 savings goals synced to three separate accounts. I also received the message "Are you sure you want to delete this goal? All your contributions will be moved back to the account you contributed from." I proceeded to delete all three and now I am trying to contribute to new goals and it says funds are not available. The goals no longer show up under the By Goal tab, but they still exist under By Account, and synced to an Unknown Goal. This is throwing off all of my accounts. It seems to be retaining residual data and keeps associating balances with "unknown goals." I am unable to manually reassign or unlink these balances. It's very frustrating. Between this and issues with connecting with target red card for last several months, I may start looking for a new platform.

It's been a week since this was captured as a known issue. If a goal is deleted, the Savings Goal functionality stops working as it should. This is a key product feature. In the 8/14 post, there was no ETA. Please provide an update - and potential short-term solution as a workaround while a longer-term solution is being developed. Thanks

Looking for an update as well! Anything longer than a week to fix a known issue on a paid product is becoming excessive.

I also have this problem. Two 'unknown goals' is throwing off my available balance. They are definitely deleted goals. Hoping for a fix soon. Thank you

I had recently posted that I am having issues with Savings goals as I have several Unknown goals that are impacting the balance available in my accounts. When I posted one of the coaches closed my thread to add me to another one about this issue. However, it has been a week and I haven't seen any updates. This is a main feature of Simplifi and a tool we are paying for which should work or bugs fixed quickly. Can one of the coaches provide an actual update on where this stands and the expected delivery of a fix?

I have this same problem in three different accounts. This is a SERIOUS error - hard to imagine this got through a rigorous testing of the last release. When can the user community expect the next software release?
3 -
Coach Kristina, I did bookmark the communication, but there hasn't been any update since it was identified as an issue. Trying to find out when we can get an update and the timeframe to fix.

Any update on this error? I bookmarked the alert, but there hasn't been any update since it was logged two weeks ago. It might be time to start looking for other software options.

Any updates on this patch?

Hello everyone,
Our teams do not provide ETAs. As soon as an expected fix version or any other news becomes available for this issue, it will be posted to the Alert. Please be sure to follow along there for updates!

If you don't provide ETA's, how do we get updates to state things like: is this issue a high priority, is this issue actually being worked on today or is it in a backlog, has the team determined the issue and are they currently working on the fix. Outside of real updates, the feel is that Quicken understands there is an issue but that is it. We have to assume that it isn't a priority and isn't being worked.
4 -
I did get a Simplifi update today however no impact on the Unknown Savings Goal issue.
1 -
I've also been frustrated by this. I see that the Quicken Coach's have tagged this as a "known issue" but it's discouraging that there is no solution in sight. This feature is a big reason why I use Simplifi and I encourage your team to make it a higher priority or at the very least communicate more than "we're aware of the problem."

We’re approaching a month since this issue was identified - 8/14 is only the title. Previous posts have this issue identified on 8/4. This is a key piece of functionality many of us paid for and now have been unable to use for a significant portion of our annual purchase. To the points made by your customers, at least provide us with a meaningful update, timeline, and potential workaround.

This is a critical data integrity issue involving financial data, not a minor defect. It directly undermines trust in the platform.
The fact that it’s persisted this long is unacceptable. It requires immediate escalation and resolution.
This is not a product like Facebook messenger. It's a paid finance application.

Consider combining with another Known, but unresolved issue - SIMPL-28577.

I had a second update to the Simplifi software today since this Unknown Savings Goal issue happened. This second update didn't fix the problem. [removed - sarcasm]
