Simplifi - Stop with the Automation!
My goodness!
Not only do you regularly automate mistakes (more mistakes than accurate automations. Literally, I counted). But on MANY automations you don't allow corrections or options??! It's so painfully obvious your developers and product managers don't actually use your tool, and you're not talking to your power users for development.
Seriously, just see who logs-on every day, and give them the tool for free to meet for product testing and feedback sessions.
Come on, Simplifi. Do better.
Examples: auto-hiding any transaction from reports and spending plans that has "transfer" in the title. This means my paycheck every two weeks, every utility bill, and a huge portion of venmo and paypal transactions.
AND THERE'S NO WAY TO TURN OFF THIS LOGIC.
My investments having a different value every tab. My dashboard, investment portfolio, and planning tab all show radically different values.
What accountant in the world would want three different values accross their books? If I've adjusted a total, that's the total I, the thinking human that's paying you money, has deemed to be correct. Use it. At the very least, let me select it as an option, or actually type in numbers in my planning tab. Seriously, why am I paying you for something I can do for free on a million online calculators when you don't even use the number I told you to use!?
Locking views. It's called a cookie. Use it. If I want to have a certain view set as a default, let me do it. Perfect example, in Investments, why would I want to see my portfolio (random numbers you have access to) before my balance (the correct value I have verified)?

I can’t really help with the investments; don’t really use that module much. However, for the paycheck and bills, I suspect you don’t have any Recurring Series set up for these.
Simplifi > Settings > Recurring Series
When you set those up it does two things:
- Feeds into the projected balances in your check registers to keep them accurate.
- Lets you tell Simplifi how you want the settings for your paycheck and bills to be set; which ones to ignore, what the category should be, etc.
I suspect that setting these up will go a long way towards improving your experience within Simplifi.
P.S. You can adjust the visibility of both sides of transfer as you wish. When both sides are hidden from reports, it is hidden from reports. When just one side is hidden, it shows up.Chris

I wonder what's going on… I get the same totals for my investments on both the Portfolio page and the Balances page. I filtered for all accounts, and several individual accounts and a few combinations. Same result, balances were the same on both the Portfolio page and the Balances page. I checked the Retirement Planner, clicking on the "Reset" for current details updated my Taxed and Pre-Taxed amounts to match the balances in the Investment pages. The dashboard Investment tile is showing the same balance as well as the balance showing in the accounts list. But it is Sunday, and no data is being downloaded into QS.
But and this may be decisive, I don't have my investment accounts connected to Simplifi, I simply maintain an updated portfolio.
