Duplicate Transactions with Apple Pay (edited)

I have a lot of duplicate items because of Apple Pay or Cash, whatever that is called. I send people money via Apple Pay, and it shows up as a transaction not just from my bank account to Apple, but then Apple to whatever the end payment is. How do we stop this?

It sounds like you are paying people with Apple Cash but not keeping a balance in the Cash account, so that every time you send a payment, it creates two transactions. $20 that you send someone and $20 from your bank to pay back Apple. Is this right?

I ask because I used to do that as well because I didn't use Apple Cash very much. After I got to using it more, I would keep a balance of say $200-$300 in Apple Cash so that now, I pay people from Apple Cash and only every month or so I make another transfer from my bank to Apple Cash.

So all of this was before Apple and Quicken added the connector so that Apple transactions will download into Simplifi. This sounds like what you are running into.

Now if my supposition is correct, then you have two choices:

    1. You can disconnect your Apple Cash account from Quicken and every time you make a payment, just wait until your bank transfer comes in and make that the payment.
    2. Or you can start funding Apple Cash each month so that you have just one transfer from your bank instead of one every time you use Apple Cash.

Now, if this makes sense, let me know. If I have it wrong, let me know that too!

Hope this is of some help.
