Will deleting an account cause the transactions to be lost? (edited)
A CD matured leaving an Account number and Zero balance. That Account had been transferring all interest payments to a savings account. I have "Closed" the CD account but the number remains and shows as closed in the accounts column.
Question is; if I delete the closed account, to get it out of the Accounts column, will all the transactions made from it into a Savings account be lost?
Hope that makes sense. Thanks.

Hello @neon45,
As @DannyB said, it's better to hide the account than to delete it.
To answer your question about what would happen if you delete the account, all transaction data in that specific account register would be permanently deleted. For more information on deleting an account, please see this article:
If, for some reason, deleting the account is your only option, then it would be wise to export your transactions from that account first, so that you still have documentation of the transactions. For information on exporting transactions, please see this article:
I hope this helps!
