Ability to search by check # (edited)
Until recently I was able to search for a transaction by the check number. I'm not sure when it stopped working but I noticed today that I get zero results when typing in a check number that I know is there (ie: I can see it).
Please bring back this important functionality!

I tried searching for check numbers, and I couldn't figure out a way to do it either.
Workaround: I was able to change my Register settings so that the Check # field was displayed as a column, so then I could sort by them. That allowed me to see in order the checks that I have.
But I think this functionality may not be available yet to all users unless the improved register has gone live to everyone. I don't think so, but these things have a way of sneaking up on me. 😁
Here's the discussion on that:

I definitely used to be able to search for check numbers by typing them in the regular search box. I do have the check # column displayed (since the field was added to Simplifi) so sorting does work but it's quite a lengthy workaround when you have a lot of checks.

@EL1234, thanks for reaching out to the Community!
I'm not currently seeing a way to search for check numbers. Our support article here doesn't mention check numbers either:
With that, I have turned this into an Idea post requesting the ability to search transactions by check number so other users can vote on it and our product team can review it. I'm glad that, in the meantime, @SRC54 has provided a workaround!

Thanks @Coach Natalie !
I definitely used to be able to search the check number by typing it in the search box. I wonder if anyone else remembers that :)
Hoping this can be fixed/added soon as it was/will be a big time-saver!
