Shift click to select a range of transactions does not work on Mac
The Instructions shown in next paragraph below says, I should be able to select a contentious range of transactions using shift key. Unless I don't know how to hold down the shift key and click on a Mac, it does not work
To select multiple transactions in Quicken Simplifi, navigate to your Transaction Activity, find the checkbox to the left of each transaction you want to select, and click it to mark it. You can also hold the Shift key and click the first and last transaction to select a range, or hold the Ctrl key (Windows) or Command key (Mac) to select individual, non-consecutive transactions. Once selected, you can click the pencil icon in the upper right to open the bulk edit menu and make changes, like recategorizing.

@N4KHQ, thanks for reaching out to the Community!
I'm not aware of Quicken Simplifi offering keyboard shortcuts, and I don't see how selecting multiple transactions using the Shift key would be possible with the current UI. Please share where you found this info so it can be looked into and corrected.
We look forward to your reply!

I think it was AI generated. I did a google search “How to select multiple transactions in Simplifi”. It is a standard user interface options for almost every database. It just a call on the Mac and windows for your programers to implement. The only way to find empty payees is to sort and I wanted to select the empty payees and mass field the category.

@N4KHQ, thank you for the reply!
In that case, I would say that the information was inaccurate. I searched our Help Center for this information, and it did not appear anywhere. It is definitely a Quicken Classic feature, so maybe the AI-generated response partly came from that.
For keyboard shortcuts in Quicken Simplifi, please be sure to add your vote and feedback to the following Idea post, and follow it for updates!
As for bulk editing the Payees, if they are all in a row in your register and the only transactions visible, you can click the checkbox at the very top to select all of them —
I hope this helps!

Feature requests is where you send a requested feature to die. The check all box will check all other records below. It would work if you could search payees for empty fields. I think you turned the empty payee post back to a Feature Request.
Thanks for the replies, they make me feel important. I realize the development team doesn't call you each morning asking what to fix next.
