Ability to view Subcategories in Watchlists (edited)
Please add subcategory breakdown to watchlists similar to the reports. Watchlists display breakdown by category, but not by subcategory. Can't speak for others, but generally I'm watching a category or tag and want to quickly reference spending on subcategories.
For example, I have watchlists for the travel category and for tags that I created for specific trips, and I like to watch those to see how much I spend on subcategories such as air travel, hotels, rental car, etc..

Hello @jsy42,
Thanks for posting your suggestion to the Community!
I have gone ahead and turned this into an Idea post so other users can vote on it and our Product Team can review it. 🙂

I like to use watchlists over the spending plan because I typically like to see average spending on things more than budgeting my spending per month. One issue that I continually run into is the watchlist breakdown. I want to create a spending watchlist that breaks down all food spending. If I'm not buying groceries to eat at home, then I'm going out to dinner, so I like to see the interaction between all food subcategories. Right now I can make separate watchlists for groceries, restaurants, fast food, or bars, but that's not necessarily helpful when looking for the breakdown of all of them together. Can we please have a breakdown by subcategories within the same overall category.

This is exactly what I was looking for… any idea when this will be implemented?
As an example, the Simplifi default category Dining and Drinks contains the subcategories Restaurants, Fast Food, Bars, and Coffee Shops. I expect that when I view the Watchlist I created for Dining and Drinks, it would display these subcategories separately so I can monitor the spend in each and see how they relate to the overall spend in the main category.
I even tried to edit the Watchlist to select the individual subcategories, but it did not change to reflect that. It still only shows the top-level category. 😕

I am new to Quicken Simplify and to this forum, so I am wondering about progress on these suggestions as well as the ability to create "Annual" watchlists by Category (or Sub-Category)? This would in essence allow for the creation of an "Annual Spend Budget", separate and distinct from the Spending Plan approach. Is this something the Product Team is already working on and is there a projected timeframe? Thank you!
