Deleted Savings Goals still showing in accounts (edited)

I'm having this issue as well. It's going on a month that this has not been fixed. Any further update? Something like this that throws people off should be a big priority. Ridiculous to have a bug such as this and be nearing a month with no fix.

I was really hoping when I got a new update today I was going to get to see my Savings Goal issue finally fixed. /sigh
Quicken let me down, AGAIN.

Timing is terrible; I need to re-do all my savings goals and now all my funds are tied up in some "unknown goal" that I don't know anything about.
Subscribing for updates.
Lots 1-2-3 (1984-1988)
MYM (Managing Your Money by Andrew Tobias) for DOS (1988-1994)
Quicken for Windows user since (1994-2024) (Still wanting to IMPORT!)
Simplifi by Quicken since (2023-Today)2 -
I am having the same issue, what is the ETA on the fix?
2 -
I manage multiple Simplifi accounts for my clients with monthly reports that go out. For the month of August I was unable to report some key items due to this bug. If I have to report the same thing at the end of September it will be bad news. Can we have any expectation for a fix this month?

Thank you for your replies,
Unfortunately, our teams do not give ETAs. If you're not already doing so, please bookmark the Community Alert (linked below) to be notified of any updates, once available, and to know when the issue is resolved:
Thank you!

I am also experiencing this problem. Created a Test Goal to better understand the feature. Set the Goal to $1000, and then contributed $600 to the goal against our checking account.
I then deleted the Goal. The goal disappeared from the Savings Goal Dashboard, but still appears as an Unknown Goal when clicking "by account". It displays the $600 as the total contribution in the pie chart, shows the $600 in the total savings goals, and deducts $600 from the available savings account balance.
I can no longer provide an accurate report so I hope this is fixed soon.2 -
Yeah, it's insane that we can't trust a financial tracking application to do MATH correctly. Worse is the fact this has been ongoing for over a month, and there seems to be little urgency on resolving the issue.
Already testing (2) other applications and thinking about going back to [removed].2 -
I'd accept a feature that simply purges all savings goals from my profile, leaving me with just the core quicken features. The savings goal bug is really messing me up.

I have had to utilize google sheets to track my savings goals and then work between quicken and google sheets to understand what i have. doing this as i evaluate new tools with the hope that another tool works as expected. The amount of time this bug has taken and the lack of communication from Quicken about this key feature is amazing.

Why is there no sense of urgency at resolving this issue? If you can't trust the math here, can you trust it anywhere in this application?

Can we get an update to this please? It's been almost a month and still no ETA or recent followup. Would love to know progress is being made and when we can expect this to be fixed. It's a pretty big issue and makes savings goals useless. Needs to be fixed asap please

Apparently, this issue has been lingering for quit some time. I am a new user and it's driving me crazy. Why is it taking so long? I am about ready to to shit can my subscription and move on to something else. Please give us an update.

Ugh, Quicken! Over a month to fix or provide a workaround for a major feature that you’re still promoting on your site! At what point is this false advertising? Decades of trusting this company with my finances is evaporating because you’re choosing to not address this at least provide an ETA. Please think about your brand and your customers.

This software, the devs, and the support team are terrible. I'm going elsewhere. [removed] is way better

2 or so years ago, I evaluated the program some here are claiming to move to. Back then, a large part of their support came from chat bots and were pretty much hit and miss, more miss. I don't know if that has changed. It also cost twice as much, but in the big scheme of things, its a small price to pay, if the SW gives you truly what you want/need.
I just used Ai to compare two products, QS and another, and this is what I got back relative to support. Unsure how "live" in-app chat is today or not. The support I get through Quicken was far better.
While I know this Savings issue is a problem, in a past life, I know working with SW devs typically don't fix things in days or weeks for that matter. Yes its frustrating, but I wonder out loud, what's more frustrating a Dev team that you can't speak to at all, or maybe answers an email in days or a week, and the answer still is, "I dont have an answer" or a Dev team that actively communicates but with answers you may not want to hear or aren't highly informative.
Finally, the other program was appealing because it was created by some of the originators of Mint but it wasn't perfect either. I was really close to going that way, but their chatbots really couldn't solve anything for me. And when I finally got what I think was a real person, they again, didn't have answers either. "The feature/fix is something that's on our list". but no timing, no priority. Feels like pretty standard practice.
I'm disappointed with the lack of robust reporting, like saved reports. Seems like it should be "easy" to implement, yet its been missing for a while. QS does state its "In Review". Informative but also leaves unanswered questions. I'm pretty happy with the level of comms QS provides.

well, Perplexity says the other programs chats are now predominately human…maybe its time for a trial.

I recently deleted three goals, however, my "Saved for Goals" value did not update accordingly.
On the Goals Overview page (
https://simplifi.quicken.com/goals/goals-view), I no longer see the deleted goals. But when I check the Goals by Account page (https://simplifi.quicken.com/goals/by-account), I see several "Unknown Goals" listed, and the amounts from my deleted goals are still being included in the calculation.0 -
I also noticed that in the pie chart left of the Saved for goals on the Goals by Account page if I find the slice in the cart of the same amount of one of the "Unknown Goals" the deleted goal name is displaying:

I believe a fix for this was announced as 'coming soon':

Coach Natalie, awesome news about:
"A fix for this issue is expected with the following releases:- 4.76.0 on the Web App
- 5.40.0 on the Mobile App"
I think I am on 4.74 right now, however I'm guessing since I don't see how to get that 'About' data from the app. Anyone out there know how to view your current version number?

Hello @BenMD,
Thank you for reaching out! On the Web App, you can view which version you're using from the dashboard screen. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page, and you should see it.
In the mobile app, you should be able to see it by tapping on your profile icon. The version number is right above the Sign Out button.
I hope this helps!

I think I am going to leave Simplifi over this issue.
I work in software myself, and in my experience, when a bug like this reaches clients, it usually indicates serious gaps in the testing process. On top of that, the long resolution time and the lack of an ETA for a fix on something impacting all clients is unacceptable. It’s brand-damaging and suggests either a lack of urgency or that the backend is so messy a fix like this is difficult to debug.
And all of this is happening in an app we’re supposed to trust with our banking and financial details.
2 -
Great to hear there is a fix, but can we get an idea of when these updates will be available? My web app is 4.75.

The fact that the moderators are removing people’s comments when they mention other software solutions that are better or don’t have these issues is disturbing and tells you everything about this company.
