What is the benefit and usage of the various icons on any Community Post. This implies there is some benefit, but not understanding what it would be for tghe Flag, Quote, Promote, Off Topic (clear, but where is it moved), Dislike (clear), Like (clear) and LOL (clear). Are these just used for statistics or do they provide further interest in any feature request or issue reported.

Also, there is no category for the community, so I chose "Home > Product Feedback > Feedback".,

    Hello @Dick_Davis,

Thanks for reaching out! The icons you mentioned do have several intended uses:

    • Flag: This icon is a common feature in online community forums, serving as a crucial tool for users to help maintain a healthy and constructive environment. Its primary purpose is to allow users to report content that they believe violates the forum's established rules and guidelines, bringing it to the attention of moderators for review
    • Quote: This icon's primary function is to allow users to directly reference and reply to specific parts of a previous post, ensuring that conversations remain easy to follow and that responses are understood in their intended context.
    • Promote: This icon is used to give special recognition to a particularly insightful, helpful, or important post/ comment.
    • Off Topic: This icon's primary purpose is to acknowledge content that deviates from the original or designated topic of a thread.
    • Dislike, Like, LOL: These icons provide a quick and simple way for users to express positive/negative feedback, agreement, disagreement, or appreciation for a post without having to write a full reply.

@Coach Jon, thank you for the explainations you have provided. WIth these explainations is there a way to filter for these icons? Once these comments are found is there a way to star it so that it can be refresed in the future. The bookmark is nice for the entire comments, but a user's specific entries are at times more informationi and not having to search through the entire bookmarked comments. A recommendation would be to implement aa comment filter for the icons.

    Thank you for your reply,

You sort of can, although it is limited to user profiles. For example, you can view your own profile and see what reactions you have received. Clicking on the icon for that reaction will let you see all the comments you have made that received that reaction.

If another user's profile is set to public, you can view their profile and see what reactions they have received. Clicking on one of those reactions will let you view the posts that received that reaction. The posts will be listed in chronological order, with the most recent at the top.

It's not really optimized for searching for posts this way, but if it's a post you want to refer back to in the near future, and the poster's profile is public, then you could like the post, and as long as you remember the username and the date, you'd be able to find it again by viewing their profile and pulling up the list of comments with the like reaction. You can search for other users from the search box on the Community Homepage, and choosing "Members" as the filter option for results.

    I hope this helps!
