CSV file upload issue

I uploaded a CSV file to Quicken Simplify and it was successful but the transactions do not show on my account. I see there is a discussion thread on this exact issue with last update in April indicating this is a known issue that Quicken is working to fix. Has it been fixed? Can you guide me on how to get these transactions to show after a successful upload? I followed every step of the process that was recommended.

@pom, thanks for posting to the Community!

I'm not aware of any known issues currently regarding importing transactions. With that, I'd recommend reviewing the information outlined in our support article here and ensuring the file is formatted properly: https://support.simplifi.quicken.com/en/articles/4413430-how-to-manually-import-transactions

I would also recommend using our CSV template to ensure the smoothest import.

Let us know how things go!

Yes those are the instructions I followed and the template I have used. I checked the file by opening in a text editor and it is formatted correctly and the upload is successful. However, even after multiple attempts nothing shows up. Could there be a setting on that particular account that prevents older transactions from showing?

Yes, there could be. Look under the Transaction Activity label and see if it says "Showing All Transactions." If it doesn't, hover over the "Showing Transactions…" text to reveal a gear icon. Click on that to open a form for setting the time period for transactions to be shown.

Ok, so that was the issue…after changing the setting the other transactions show as uploaded. Thank you!

It would be great for Quicken to offer a .qfx file upload. The .csv file conversion is a hassle, but more significantly, getting to the exact format required for upload requires a significant amount of manual work. I could do this for one of my accounts which has fewer transactions but am not looking forward to doing that for the others. The .csv file downloaded from PNC Bank in my case had the date in a YYYY-MM-DD format which I then needed to change using Excel. That also required some formulas to make it happen but can be done for all transactions at once. Saving the Excel as a CSV resulted in a file that did not have the "" quotation marks consistently…they appeared for negative numbers only. So I had to manually change that for each entry in each line before the file was in the exact format required for upload.

What I describe above is an unreasonable expectation from a user.
