Transaction list not grouping by date correctly
If I sort my transaction list by date (descending) and scroll down to a couple years ago there is a point where it switches from grouping by month to grouping by year. However, I noticed that some transactions that should be in the last month grouping appear in the first year grouping.
Here's what I see. There are several October, 2023 transactions that appear in the 2023 group despite there being an "October 2023" group above it.
Maybe it's just a coincidence but it looks like up to today's calendar date (October 5) is put into the 2023 group and the following transactions are put into the month group.
Anyways, I'd expect all transactions for October, 2023 to appear in the group "October 2023" and those from September 30 back to January 1 to be in the "2023" group.

this sounds more like a bug report than an idea

Hello @strwrsdbz,
Thank you for reaching out! I changed your post to a feedback post for now, while confirming if this is a bug or working as intended.
I tested in my Quicken Simplifi and see similar behavior. What I notice is that it seems to cut off based on the date, with everything 5 Oct and earlier showing in "2023" and October transactions that happened after 5 Oct, showing in "October 2023".
Does that match what you are seeing?
I look forward to your response!

Looks like you're seeing the same thing I am, and you've described the same thing I did in the text after my screenshot :)
Sorry for the wrong post type. My last post seemed pretty clearly a bug and people said the opposite on that one. But context is everything. I'll get the hang of this eventually.

@strwrsdbz, thanks for the reply!
I was unable to replicate this myself, but I agree with what Coach Kristina called out above, since she posted this on October 5th —

Is this disrupting your workflow in any particular way, or is it just something you noticed? I ask for the following reasons:
- If Coach Kristina's determination is proven true, I wouldn't necessarily consider it a bug.
- We are going to be releasing a completely new register in the coming months, which will render a lot of bugs or design flaws with the current register obsolete.
Understanding the impact will help us determine how to proceed.

This isn't something I run into very often. I just thought it would be helpful to bring it up. Waiting to see if the new register addresses it would be fine with me.
I don't follow why you don't think transactions from October 2023 being displayed outside the "October 2023" grouping is correct, but I'm OK with living with it for now.
I'll be interested to see the new register and what problems it is trying to solve.
