Credit Card Bill Statement Balance
Would love to see how much my credit card bill payments will be. I'm seeing this feature in Origin Financial where it shows "statement balance as of Date" and would love to see it here.

Hello @ds824,
Thanks for reaching out! We converted your post into a discussion, as we already have a great feature called Bill Connect for Credit Cards that covers this topic. With Bill Connect for Credit Cards, Quicken Simplifi automatically updates your credit card reminders using real-time balance and due date information pulled from your connected account. Once set up, Quicken Simplifi uses your online banking connection to retrieve bill data—such as statement balances, total balances, and minimum dues—based on your selected preference.
For more detailed information on this feature and how to use it, you can view our support article here:
I hope this helps!

@Coach Jon I do not see any options for Chase, Capital One, Discover, or Citi show up for Bill Connect.

@Coach Jon, are these bill payees (banks) being perused to be included in Bill Connect at a future point?

Hello @ds824,
I am glad you were able to get everything set up correctly! Let us know if you have any other questions!
@Dick_Davis, Since amounts are updated via aggregation with the bank, these would not be supported billers. That's why using Bill Connect for Credit Cards would be the way to track your credit card bill data. I hope this makes sense.

@Coach Jon Is it possible to only have the payment from my checking show up in Bills & Income instead of both sides?

i believe you can hide/unhide one side of a transfer from spending plan, but in general that means you are misusing the spending plan. Simple example: if you have $100 in a credit card purchase on the spending plan and also the $100 credit card payment, you would be charging $200 to spending plan for a $100 total spend.

@Coach Jon, How is the credit (cash redemption) handled with the bill connect? For example, Discover has a bill due for 50.00. Then Discover posts a cash usage create of $.65 to the balance due. Does the Bill Connect now show the balance from Bill Connect as $49.35 or $50.00?

Hello @Dick_Davis,
Thanks for the reply. To answer your question:
- Once the statement closes, the amount and due date can/will be updated based on how you have your Bill Connect preferences set up for the Recurring Series.
- There’s a 3-day buffer after the statement closes before the final amount appears in Quicken Simplifi.
If the credit were to be applied to the amount before the statement closes, the credit should also be reflected in the amount, but I would not know for sure whether it would apply to the final amount in Quicken Simplifi if a credit were to be applied at a later time.
I hope this helps!
