Reminders – Credit Card Payments [(edited)

When doing reminders for payments to banks for credit cards, monthly mortgages, and others, the reminder does not display correctly unless there is work around is used, which negates the Payee field. For example, for a credit card payment reminder to Capital One credit card Fargo should have the Payee as being a cash account (checking or savings), and this reminder will show the payee entered. This entry is correct, but the display reminder is not . The reminder, as I expected, shows the account name that was entered in the account field. Thus, the reminder would show the name of the credit card for the Capital One (Credit Card) for the date of payment and the positive payment to the credit card account. Also, this is not a new problem as it has been since my first engagement with Simplifi, but after working with the program for awhile it is time for this to be reported for a change to be implemented.

I'm not sure I clearly understand the issue. But it sounds like you are saying that transfer reminders display incorrectly. Mine display the way I expect them to, as in the example below. There is one reminder for the deposit to the Visa account (green numbers), and a paired reminder for the withdrawal from the bank account (black numbers). Each reminder shows the date, the amount, and the account that it will be applied to.

Both reminders share the same Payee name, and perhaps that is what seem incorrect to you. To me, that indicates that these are two halves of the same transfer transaction. The transferor and transferee are identified in the Category field, rather than in the Payee field. If you like, once the transactions take place, you can edit the Payees on each side separately to make them anything you want.

I don't bother with that. I prefer to just give the Reminder series a name that identifies the nature of the transfer and then leave the transactions with matching names so I can easily pair them up.
