Simplifi Won't Update in IOS

No accounts will update in IOS this morning on either the iPad or iPhone but it does on my Mac desktop. This leads me to believe it may be a problem with the Apple Card account stalling the refresh process….

IOS 26 beta 4

Current Simplifi versions in all devices.

Is it just me or are you seeing it too?

Hmm. The Update Icon keeps spinning on my iPhone, and it wouldn't update. So I manually updated the Apple Stuff; that worked, but my other accounts wouldn't update, so I signed out on the phone app.

I signed in again, and it updated. I can tell by my cleared transactions BUT the icon keeps spinning anyhow. But everything looks up to date.

Edit: I am on iOS 26.0.1 with App 5.14.0 (Updated 10/10/25)

Thanks, Steve. At least I know it's not just me.

@SRC54 How did you manually update the Apple stuff? I don't see where/how to do it.

Same thing on iPad. Icon just spins and the sync is only partial.

I noticed the balances were right as well as the time of the last bank syncs. But the new or cleared transactions hadn't downloaded. So I signed out and back in and they downloaded. The icon still spins.

iPadOS 26.0.1 and iPad app 5.41.0.

It seems to be a Simplifi server problem, but is odd that it updated fine on Mac but not the Apple apps. Different servers? We are up early so this may just be temporary.

I wonder if this is affecting Google apps?

Go to Settings:Accounts:AppleWallet. You hit the update icon.

Ah yes, thank you. It's been so long since I've done it that way I completely forgot.

I had this problem this morning too, where the update icon would spin forever… Uninstalling and reinstalling the app seemed to fix it, but it's interesting we all ran into a similar issue… For the record, I don't have an Apple card anymore (might get one in the future again).

I thought I would give your method a try and delete the app from my iPad and reinstall it. I can’t get the app to download 😂 I’m wondering if this is all leftover issues from the other day when Amazon broke the internet.

I was able to reinstall the app in my iPad by shutting it off and restarting it. However, Simplifi still will not automatically update. I was able to manually perform updates of all of my accounts, so it would appear as though the problem lies within Simplifi somewhere. 🤷‍♂️

@RobWilk I uninstalled on both iPad and iPhone and reinstalled. I had to reconnect Apple accounts, which was no problem, but the endless spinning is still going on!

@TheReal702 Did you ever find the app on the app store. I searched for Quicken Simplifi and found it fast.

Edit: I can confirm it doesn't update banks on the iPad or iPhone. When I opened it in the web, it updated.

    It will update Apple Accounts.

Yes, I found the app right away it just wouldn’t load until I rebooted my iPad. I then used my iPhone to manually update all of my accounts. Something is still wonky, but I’ll check again once the 4 hour period passes.

@TheReal702 I just updated my iPhone and it worked. The spinning stopped. I had to reboot the iPhone again a bit ago because the landscape view wasn't working. Was that related? Doubtful.

OTOH. iPad is still spinning though it correctly shows the accounts updated — an improvement.. I am rebooting now. And, that fixed it.

This was really weird. Reinstalls and 2 reboots at least. Hope it is over now. I will update first in the morning with iOS though I prefer using the web app.

@SRC54 I just updated using my iPhone, and although it was quite slow like it was a few weeks ago before they fixed it, it worked.

Then I checked with my iPad and it too worked.

Then I checked the update times with my Mac, and all seems to be working again.

This morning, all seems fine on all my Apple devices, so I guess this will remain an unresolved mystery. No further leads, so case closed?

The reason it may not have happened for me after reinstalling: In between, I most likely opened the web page and did a bank sync, so when the mobile app opened back up, it was already synced. But at least after uninstalling and reinstalling, for me, the balances were right — prior to uninstalling and reinstalling they were badly wrong (off by hundreds)

Yes, same here. The update was also much faster than yesterday afternoon. I blame @Coach Jon. I think he did this to keep us on our toes! 🤣
