Teacher Retirement System of Texas Doesn't Connect (Finicity 170 error)
Hi,
I'm trying to connect to the Teacher Retirement System (TRS) of Texas. It shows up in the list of accounts that you can add. You enter in your username/password, and then it prompts for a PIN code (2FA). You enter the PIN code. It thinks for a while, and then you get this error:
Despite trying again later — on different days and at different times — it never successfully connects. I tried reaching out to support via one of the "coaches," but I basically got a shoulder shrug and a suggestion to contact my financial institution.
This is clearly a technical issue, but I don't seem to have any way to contact resources that are more technical than the "coaches".

You are not the first person to post that screenshot, and the other place I saw it required a fix from Quicken Staff or their aggregator partner as i understand (i.e. Intuit, Plaid, Fincity, etc.). Quicken has limited staff here on weekends, though sometimes Coach Kristina is here and can suggest some initial troubleshooting steps - as seen in link below).
Here's the other person i saw post that screenshot, you can scroll down a bit in the conversation to see it:

@rkjones, thanks for reaching out to the Community with this issue!
I apologize that you did not receive proper assistance from our Chat Support Team. We are definitely happy to help out with this in the Community. When checking your connection attempts with Teacher Retirement System of Texas from our end, I only see a 103 error, which indicates invalid credentials were used. That attempt took place on 11/28. Do you remember seeing this error in Quicken Simplifi? When was the last time you attempted to connect and received the 170 error?
Also, is this your first time attempting to connect to Teacher Retirement System of Texas in Quicken Simplifi, or have you had the account connected successfully in the past?
Let us know!
-Coach Natalie
