Transactions are being randomly changed
Hi, I recently had a few transactions being randomly re-named something else. For example, I made a credit card payment and it showed up in Simplifi as "Kroger". I have ZERO rules setup in Simplifi so it is not a rules issue. Even if this happens occasionally this would be a big headache having to independently verify all the transactions. Any suggestions?

I think the only thing you can do is to make a rule if you want to make sure this payee gets named correctly each time it comes in. Like you, I don't use rules that much, but if I have trouble with a certain payee, I do.
Simplifi is supposed to learn as it goes but it sometimes gets it wrong. It is also a good idea to try to keep your payee list pared down and consistent. I don't have much trouble with this, but it does happen to me from time to time.

Thank you Steve for the reply. That is good to know that you have had that same issue before so I can stay alert to it. I do wish there was an option to show the "statement name" in the transaction columns (instead of the "Payee" name column). That way we are seeing the raw data from the feed and not the incorrect Payee name Simplifi decides to give it that day.

Here's a request to be able to search using the original bank payees. Would that serve? If so, you can vote for it or make a new feature request.

Thanks Steve. I submitted my vote. Anything that would help us quickly view the original payee field instead of Simplifi automatically determining what our transactions should would be a good idea. To me, it is common sense. Why would we want to have a software program determine this for us. Unnecessary risk. Should be a feature that can be turned on/off based on user preferences.
