What is the latest update on the manual account issues? My manual accounts are still showing zero balances. I have a ticket number from support but no idea how to get an update.

@sb87623, thanks for letting us know!

Can you elaborate on what types of manual accounts are being impacted at this time? Also, did you make any manual adjustments while the issue was occurring that may now need to be undone? I ask because the issue should now be fixed, aside from a few stragglers that we've mostly been able to resolve via troubleshooting.

If the accounts are truly manual and not Zillow or KBB-linked accounts, I'd recommend using the "Re-sync balance" option in the tooltip at the top of each account to see if that works for you. The "Re-sync balance" option will force a manual refresh of the account balance using the sum of the transactions in the account.

More details on the "Re-sync balance" option can be found here: https://support.simplifi.quicken.com/en/articles/4202003-how-to-resolve-balance-discrepancies-in-quicken-simplifi#h_76bf9b67c3

  • I did try to resync the balances, but they are still incorrect. All 3 are manual, 1 house, 2 cars. they are not zillow or kbb linked.

I did try to enter a manual transaction a few weeks ago when I first noticed that the home value just went to zero, but it didn't fix anything so I deleted it. I also deleted the accounts and recreated them and they are still showing zero balances since January.

@sb87623, thank you for the reply!

I just added a brand new manual vehicle account with a $5,000 value. Although the balance showed as $0 at first, I used the "Re-sync balance" option, and it immediately bumped my balance to the correct 5k value.

Can you try deleting and re-adding the accounts again and then using the "Re-sync balance" option on them to see if that works for you? Once done, you can import your account balance history into the new accounts for historical net worth purposes, if needed.

  • Thanks for the tips, that did work. I deleted the accounts and re-added them, and the balances now show correctly. I did import the account balance history and the net worth table is correct also.

    Appreciate the help!
