Was prompted to re-connect the Chase Bank accounts today and received the following error after completion:

Re-authorization required by user for partnerUid: chase_apigee_prod and intuitProperty: quicken
Care Code: invalid_grant

  • I got the same thing. I wound up having to go to Chase's site and pick "Security and Privacy" from the upper-left-corner menu. Then go down to "Keep track of your data" and pick the oval that says Linked Apps. That should list Quicken as a linked app. I had to unlink Quicken on the Chase site, then I could go back to Quicken and re-link to my Chase accounts from scratch. Kind of klutzy but it worked.

So the issue did not clear automatically for me.

I had to reauthorize data sharing with Chase and reauthenticate the accounts. The process was different this time. Chase sent me a code via SMS and then asked me to call for a second code, which was very strange.

This only worked and cleared the connection when I used a different browser. So if you’re trying to reconnect and get stuck, try a different browser, or clear cache and cookies and try again.
