Net worth will not update after adding manual mortgage account
My connected mortgage account kept saying my mortgage was $5,000 even though it's about $500,000. I instead created a manual account with an opening balance starting in August 2025. Then I simply added my mortgage principal payments on specific dates. See below. However, my net worth is not reflecting any of this. It only updates in February. I tried changing the category so it could show in my reports and spending plan. But that changed nothing either.

Hello @kingcon1,
Thank you for reaching out! For manual accounts, Quicken Simplifi does not retroactively calculate past daily balances based on transaction dates or backdated opening balances. Instead, the Net Worth begins tracking from the day the account was actually created. If the manual account was created in February, the Net Worth would only display the balance from February onward, effectively ignoring the transactions you created for August.
To fix this and get your mortgage to accurately reflect in your historical net worth, you need to import your historical account balances. By importing historical account balances, you can ensure your Net Worth Report accurately reflects your accounts over time.
Information on how to do this can be found in our article here:
I hope this helps!

I tried to upload a csv file multiple times and it says it has been successful, but then it does not show up in the mortgage transaction history.

Hello @kingcon1,
Thanks for the reply! Importing your Account Balance history ensures that your Net Worth accurately reflects your accounts over time. It will not reflect in your Transaction Activity itself for the account. Are you able to verify if your Net Worth is now accurate after successfully importing the CSV file? Let us know!
