Coinbase / Stock Symbol Mixup
I am a new user this year and have run into what appears to be a long-standing issue with Simplifi’s handling of holdings that share ticker symbols across asset classes. Specifically, when a publicly traded stock or ETF shares the same ticker as a cryptocurrency, Simplifi appears to render the market data for the stock/ETF and not the cryptocurrency. This obviously impacts portfolio accuracy, performance tracking, and gain calculations.
I have seen forum posts referencing this issue going back over a year, but I have not found any confirmed resolution. There also do not appear to be open threads where I can ask for an update directly. Is there an official fix in progress? If so, what is the expected timeline? Unfortunately, it may be a dealbreaker for me continuing to use the platform even though I really, really want to.

In the meantime, you'll likely need to track the account manually to have accurate investment data. To do so, you'd first need to make the account manual so you can add and edit the holdings:

Thank you for the quick reply. I did figure out a workaround in the meantime if you wanted to share in the other discussion you linked here (as I'm unable to do it).
1. Remove Coinbase as an institution from Simplifi entirely (resetting the connection is not enough).
2. Re-add the Coinbase institution.
3. When your sole portfolio account is pulled and listed during the initial setup, instead of labeling it as an "Investment" account, choose "Digital Cash" under "Banking."
Once the connection is established and the account is linked, the total amount in Coinbase will show under the "Banking" heading of course. This workaround provides less data because there won't be any holdings listed on the Investments tab, but in my case, I would rather not have the holdings data period (and rely on just knowing the total in the Coinbase account) than have inaccurate holdings data.1
