Spending update notification data seems to be incorrect (edited)

I recieved a spending update notification that I've spent $900 more than this time last month. This does not square with a quick look at a month to date spending comparison.

  1. Where is this number coming from? A few categories are up but many are down. Its certainly not obvious from Spending Plan bills or Planned spending or Other Spend
  2. What defines 'this time last month' - a day, a week, 2 weeks?

    Hello @RobI,

Thanks for reaching out! Can you please confirm which notification you are speaking about? Is it the following notification?

If it is, then the Spending update notification is listed as the "Difference in spending between current month and prior month".

I am not sure exactly what "this time last month" entails, but you should be able to verify your total spending by reviewing your expenses from the two months in the Spending report and the Spending Plan. Can you verify if the amount from the notification is close, or is it completely incorrect as far as you can tell? Is this the first time you have noticed it being incorrect, if that is the case?

    Let us know!

It was the the first notification.

I pulled the month to date reports into Excel and it appear to be more or less correct. Caused by a large one off transaction this month accounting for most of this difference.

    Thanks for the explanation
