Provide a "Do Not Match" setting for recurring transactions
Here's the problem:
I have some transactions where the automatic matching process does more harm than good. These are mainly credit card payment transfers from my bank account to the credit card.
As detailed elsewhere, credit card refunds (which are not transfers) get matched to the payment transfer. Undoing that mistaken match often ends up eliminating the current recurring payment from the schedule, creating spurious transfer transactions that shouldn't exist, and/or doing other mischief.
Here's a solution:
Allow me to specify that a recurring payment should not be auto-matched by Simplifi. This could be done by having a "Do Not Match" choice in the Match Criteria dropdown, or by having a check box for this purpose, or any other way that tells Simplifi "Don't try to match this, let the user do it."
NOTE:
For an example of the problems auto-matching can cause, see the following thread. There are other threads on this same subject as well.

I have a situation where I need this, and I specifically set the reminder to "exact match" and the amount to a similar, but incorrect amount. That way I can manually dismiss the reminder when I need instead of Simplifi linking it.
I have also experienced that frustration when a refund or a small payment to the credit card gets matched. Manually unlinking it seems to sometimes work but sometimes I don't get back that missing reminder, especially with the correct amount.

I didn't want to clutter the opening suggestion post, but the thread I linked to discusses my attempts to prevent erroneous matches. Like you, I tried using "Exact Match" to prevent bad matches. It hasn't worked.
My last post on that thread described my latest problem involving a reminder amount of about $1600 and match criteria set to "Exact Match." Simplifi matched that $1600 reminder to a refund of $10. Go figure…

Hmm good to know! Sorry for not reading the whole thread. When I tried exact match and it was off by a few cents, it didn't link. But I don't know for sure that it's because of the Exact Match setting…

I've tried both Limited Range and Exact Match with no perceptible effect. Things match anyway, no matter how big the difference in amount is. And I started trying those because Auto Match wasn't giving good results either. So the only thing left is Any Amount — which is unhelpful.
At this point I'd like to just prevent matching for transfers. They are what causes most of the problems, because you end up with bad transactions in two different accounts and linkage that's hard to understand and unravel. But I don't want to just delete the recurring series because it's part of my cash flow projection.
A Do Not Match option would really help in this situation.

I hear that! Also an "unlink recurring and also undo anything else that was done automatically along with it" feature would be awesome.
