I had to throw the towel in on Simplifi
I have been using Simplifi in parallel with another product which i have been using for a number of years (You….), with the hope that I could shift onto the Simplifi platform. In the end it isn't to be as Simplifi has too many gaps for me. I do like a lot about Sinplifi and hoped that these gaps would be closing or at least I could see some light that they would be. However reading the forums, some of the missing features have been requested for months or even years so that fed into my ultimate decision to stay put and cancel my Simplifi subscription. In summary these are the gaps that I have:
Option to auto add / create a recurring transaction into an account for those on manual accounts.
Ability to duplicate a transaction
A Quick Enter button is required for manual transactions, too many clicks otherwise.
The load time of the Android App needs improvement, varies from 3-10 seconds on a Pixel 8.
Option to manually reconcile an account, very helpful for manual accounts.
A general undo option, not the popup, but a button.
Improvements to the Import process, it is very basic and fiddly, the CSV has to be perfect. Add the capability to import from a Quicken bank export?
Addition of Canadian Investment type account.
On another note, Canada has not yet adopted Open Banking, hopefully with this adoption next year(?) linking accounts will be more stable and not require handing over credentials o an intermediary.
Thanks, I'll try again in a year and hopefully some of my gaps have been closed.

Hello @smitp111,
Thanks for reaching out! We are sorry to see you go but I hope when you come back that the program is what you want it to be. As for your "gaps" we are always adding new features and ideas into Quicken Simplifi, and idea posts give us a way to verify what users want in the program.
I do know for the first one you listed, recurring transactions are already a thing, however. When creating a transaction, the button to do so can be found in the upper right-hand corner.
Thanks,
Coach Jon

Thanks for the feedback, my biggest concern is the length if time some of these feature requests have been around for. Some go back to 2020. I appreciate that the developer teams have to prioritize which features they work on, but i don't believe that some of these feature requests will ever make it into the product.

@smitp111 Sorry it didn't work for you, but thanks for a pretty good rundown of things that are needed in Simplifi. i agreed with most all of them. See you next year!
